Call of the Kraken
 

Anyone playing the new game call of the Kraken? I'm playing it and so far, its really fun.

Post what you think of the game.

Only problem I had with it (not big) was how the Kraken traveled. It went backwards with the tentecles going forward.

I did NOT like the compass because it was the Krakens eye and it kept blinking. Some of the enemies and caves also sort of faded away sometimes but came back up as soon as it blinked.

It was also hard to tell where you are going because it just showed that the enemy or land got closer, however, the map did not move, it just changed when the Kraken blinked.

Graphics are very good and controls are ok. I didnt like moving because you had to hold down the left mouse button and drag, however they all worked perfectly.

Playability: I really think that they did a great job in the playability. The cutscenes were skipable but sometimes could be important. Like in pirates online, you would loose health in attacking, but I am not sure if you gain health by leveling up or something. The way you get back health is you had to find fish and you will be all better.

Storyline: You play as the Kraken as a helper to Davy Jones. Right now as I see it, you just are trying to defeat ships and rule the ocean.

Attacking: You start out with three different attacks (smash, thrash, and breath I believe) and as you collect souls from the boats, you can earn new skills. Souls are pretty much dead bodies in the water, which I did NOT like because it was really disturbing.

What would I rate it? Wel to be honest, a 9/10. I had a fun time playing it. But however this game would not be rated for anyone under the age of 10, because when you hit a ship people would scream and it was really sort of disturbing. Then when the ship sunk you could pick up 'souls' which were pretty much dead bodies in the water, and that sort of disturbed me, however, get this game NOW! Its too great to skip! And its lag free, and the download is short. When you get off the game no lag what so ever.

Same here! I am not getting Explorer just to play a game. I already have Safari and Firefox.

I sort of wish it was multiplayer, just the thought of having about 300 krakens swimming around XD
