I've had this idea since i have started playing Potco. It is from another pirate themed game. Why not have wars like the one you see in the trailer? (People on ships fighting and on ground.) There could be Kings of an island, (different ones for each server) that can start wars with other islands. Or, A Pirate king that could start wars on Kingshead (thats what its called right? haven't played potco for awhile now).

Well I think there should be PVP islands that look like the real islands. One of the readers of The Black Sail asked Ben Lockshot ( THe person who asks disney peoples qustions ) about pvp islands, here is what they say.

The king idea is good in all... but there are to many pirates in the carribean and would start to much drama

I like this idea, however there are players out there that can't handle defeat. This idea is problematic, it will cause a lot of friction. Not to mention tons of extra Drama. If something like this is brought into the game I will stay more than 500 paces away.

This game does not lend itself well to the total war idea or even a King of the island. I have played a lot of other games that are built for war scenarios and they usually involve separate Races/Classes that fight against each other.

It would basically come down to Guild vs Guild here and the stronger more active guilds would quickly take over and then you have a ton of players flooding to the stronger guilds to be a part of the winning side. This would leave most guilds stripped of members and unable to compete in the "Island King" scenario. Then there is the Drama that has been metioned already. If you are meaning an Island that is just for PVP - we already have the PVP match system for those who want to do it. I am not sure how much PVP is used in the game, that would determain whether or not Disney would spend the development resources to do something like that.

We have SVS and PVP areas for those who want to take part in these kind of activities. Personally I would like to see a Guild vs Guild addition as it is fun to complete against other guilds if it's done with good competition and friendship.

I myself would stay out of the wars. D takes pride in trying to get pirates to work together, for example, invasions. Creating wars would totally undermind the comradarie they are trying to establish. I don't understand the point of all these little side guild wars either. Why not spend your time doing something fun instead of making the game stressful for others?

Searching the game files, I found mention of a "Pvp Test Isle". Maybe the glitched island you come to from doing the pvp glitch incorrectly? By the way Captain whale, I agree somewhat. But I like the idea. Other games have something called, PvP servers. Why not here?

SvS, PvP & CvC, Invasions....

There could be an event that for 2 days undead poors into islands a bit at a time determinded by how many people are at that island. And how every gets the most get be on a leaderboard. They did that in toontown. Why not do it here?

I could see a Mayhem scenario for King of the Island, every pirate for hisself... or herself.

But, I agree that if they begin to push a Guild vs Guild event - it will only fan the flames of those guilds who enjoy attacking other groups or worse, try to dismantle them. People will go beyond the realm of such an event, etc.

How about a "Kill the Pirate with the Ball" variation on PvP? Where one pirate would be the 'Pirate King/Queen' until they got killed then their killer becomes the King/Queen. You would get a bonus for the amount of time you stayed King/Queen. At the end of the round, the pirate with the most crown time is the winner. (Just a thought)

PS - Nice to know about the Co. Empire. Though not a big surprise.
