FAQ's:

Will this affect the game or performance?
No. You should not notice any difference in game play. From the quality of graphics to speed of play, everything will remain the same. Now you can play without leaving the Pirates Online website and launch the game from your web browser.

Why did you make this change?
We wanted to expand the Pirates Online experience to make it accessible to as many players as possible, offering game play in a web browser is the best way to do this.

Will this allow me to be on other websites at the same time?
To get the most out of the Pirates Online, we encourage you to close other programs and Internet windows.

I downloaded this and now the game plays in a window, how do I change this?
When playing Pirates Online through a web browser it automatically is set to play in a 'windowed' mode. You can change this, just go into the graphics options and select the display mode you prefer.

Im still having trouble figuring out the point of playing through your web browser. What's the difference here?? It sounds no different from just setting full screen off.. Am I missing something?

I did some research and Disney and the Panda3D people have been working on this for a while now. My guess is because are quite a few online games now that play inside a web browser, maybe this is for consistency?

But you stillhave to download the game correct? I was hoping this would be a way to play the game without having to download, like for the library or friends houses.. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

Yeah, the game is still downloaded to your comp.

Mac Pirates, your log files are in Library/username/Caches/Panda3D/log
