Grape shot's description is:

Short ranged shot! Effective only against Crew in PVP and Sea Monsters.

1. You cant see other pirates on there boat so how can it kill the enemies pirates shooting at you?

2. No Sea Monsters (yet) so for now grape shot is useless..

:snowball:Actually in ship PVP, you can see pirates on the other ships when you are a cannoneer. If you use grape shot on them you stun the crew. The crew cannot shoot back at you for a while. If you are really big into svs, grape shot can be useful.:rudolf:

I don't svs much. I did the quests and thats it.

Only reason i asked is because now on actual enemy ships there is no captain.

I hate the fact that you cannot see people and NPC enemies on other ships.Its ridiculus in my opinion,why can't D just leave good things alone?I cant even see people on high quality! :(As for damage without seeing them it is possible from what I think I know,many that played on low quality as I once mistakingly did you couldn't see other people on ships.On the note of grape that is a shot I have ranked up highly for SvS purposes,SvS especially is going to be ruined by seeing no other players aboard other vessels.Grape was also a really exiting way to put holes in sails...now thats gone as well.D is lowering their standards ,period.

My experiance with grape is that you are not aiming so much at one person as the crew. If I aim at the middle gunner people around him also show damage. More of a shotgun style just pull the trigger in the right direction and short enough range. So not being able to see the crew isnt as important. I have graped a crew and kept them dazed or dead while another on my ship sunk em and my grape is weak by SvS standards. I have been on the bad end also and even at lvl 45 health a guy with good grape can put me out pretty quick. So my answer is IF you SvS I would at least put some on grape just in case, if not dont bother and retrain if you need to when and if we get a " sea Monster "

I retrained skills and just eliminated Grape Shot all together. I think is really useless.

I tested it with someone drivig my Gm's War Sloop now.Grape dosen't seem to work,pity really,I have it at rank 5.

Aye, I will change my answer from above. I have tried grape on other ships with no results and have not been shot myself grape seems to be not working.

I have Grape shot and rank 5 It use to work really well untill one of the Updates. Now as someone above said you can not see people in Ship PvP. But if they change it back it CAN be the best Ammo you have in Ship PvP you just need to know how to use it. Bad thing is you have to be in range of the deadly Explosive shot. But if you have a good enough Grape they wont get the chance you fire it.

I have it on rank 1, kinda pointless... when sea monsters come... it will be rank 5

i have rank 5 grape too. we should all go and tellD about this thing by Memerservices. I did so and they told me to do a bug report. Lets all do the same, member services and bug reports, until they realize. We'll also tell them to put back the old sail tearng thing. This needs to be done otherwise it will be a waste of retraining for most of us

I don't think it's supposed to hurt the enemy? But when it was there it did, you could just shoot them on a flag ship and board then just go back to your ship.
