Firebrand for gold
 

Ok this could go under glitches but this forum looked lonely and it can go here too. As of right now when you are out plundering have your crew switch to firebrand at the end of the ships life and sink it with it. A glitch allows you to get multiple chests from one ship this way. I have seen 7-12 chest from one ship it also gives multiple crew bonuses. This with the drop cargo allow you to fill with royals pretty quick. Last but not least the ships seem to be holding more at the moment I docked tonight and had 22 chests on my war frigate (no joke) and over 2500 in gold because it was nothing but royals.:12_1_138::12_1_138::12_1_138:

I actually witnessed this last night. We sank maybe 4 ships and came out with over a thousand in gold!

I filled the frigate off of one man of war last night LOL and was getting 19 rep for every fire that hit while ship was sinking with 1 crew member so keep shooting till it goes below

It's not just adding treasure, it's adding rep and ship count. We gave this a test last night. Seems that everyone who gets in a shot (or three) as the ship is sinking gets triple rep, gold and ship count. I counted how many ships we sunk on one run, it was 15. When we landed, the ship count showed as 44. (didn't get the triple count off of all the ships, but most of them) I went from 2600 sailing rep to 6200 in two runs.

Angel, you may have noticed that I said in my post "Bug Reports Sent"

That's exactly what this is, a bug in the game. Will pirates exploit the heck out of it before it's fixed? Probably. But I'm hoping just as many report it so it gets worked on asap.

I guess that decision is yours. It is taking advantage of a problem that was introduced with the last update and I like Sarah have sent a bug report. It isnt a third party program nor does it require you to do anything special to get it like most glitches so to that degree no. I am fully mastered on sailing and cannons and cant use anymore gold doesnt help me anyways it was simply someting I was seeing when sailing with crew. I will leave the morality of it up to you

I saw this happening too... I figured it was a bug and reported it as such...

I don't think this one will be around long. And, honestly, it doesn't set off my highly refined "CHEATER ALARM". If I am on a ship leveling cannons and it happens it just happens...I think...

For those wondering I also notice the higher ship count on port. But I also notice the leader board for ships sunk has not updated lately either. My gold has been maxed for awhile and for the most part I do enough sailing where the rep isn't a big deal. I do know others though that like this little bonus rep for it as they don't care for sailing or cannons.

Saw it tonight for the first time. Captain reported it. But, it's like everything else...some will report & not use it...others will utilize it to the full extent. Depends on how you like to play the game. This pirate doesn't like using bugs & glitches for reps. But everyone is different. I guess that is what makes the world go round. Different strokes for different folks so to speak. I, honestly hope it gets fixed soon! Thank to all that did report it!!
