Cannot crew! :(

This is driving me crazy! Any time I attempt to "row out" to a ship that's not mine, my game crashes.

Is anyone else having this problem? Taking away my crewing ability is really making me sad... :h-frwn:

I've been having this same issue for the passed three weeks. Can't get out to the first island with Barbosa. I've sent about 10 tickets with the same problem and no resolve. Just got an email saying "if you're having issues with lag, here's how to fix it..." Ummm, not having lag issue, having crash issues! /sigh

So, guess I won't be playing until they get this sorted out. If anyone finds a way to fix it, please post.

What did they tell you to do for the lag? I'm playing between 3 pc's, one runs great, one has lag and one crashes at every bad moment possible.

I wish they'd stop trying to tell us every issue is due to our pc's. The point of Beta is to find and report bugs and game issues, but every time we do that we're told to update drivers or something. A note back saying "thanks, we'll look into it" would be a refreshing change.

Wenchtastic, if you have another pc available, try it...they all work differently with this game so you might have better luck on another machine.

I'll try my husband's machine and see what happens. Thanks!

They just told me to turn down all my graphics settings to help with the lag.

It's kinda weird because the computer we use to run world of warcraft on can't run this pirates game even with the setting turned down. I can't imagine why pirates would use more resouces than world of warcraft.

But the computer I'm on now can run pirates, but I have been getting lag lately, even with the graphics turned down.

Three + weeks now, and I still can't get off the *&#@! island. The game keeps crashing when I get on a dinghy. Anyone have any thoughts? With this bug the game is virtually unplayable. At this point when I crash the 'report a bug' page that used to pop open, doesn't even do that! This game is rubbish as far as I can tell at this point. AND I just got an email asking me to be a Founder. Lol!

To all those have trouble getting to ships. A friend of mine had the same problem, however when his crashed it gave him a windows error. If any of you are getting that same error it will have to do with certain drivers that are not installed.

Because we have an dedicated customer service line to Dell as part of the package when we purchased our machines, Dell was able to correct this for us.

They explained to my friend that although the discs may say drivers "dont know what the exact saying is" it doesnt mean they loaded.

Anyway no all have this problem but in case anyone does might wanna check drivers

Can you be anymore specific as to which drivers? And is your friend using Windows XP or Vista? Thanks.
