What we are:
We are a small guild rebuilding back to being a medium sized guild. We want to be big enough that no one gets lonely but stay small enough that everyone knows your name. For the Fun of It is a close knit group that is quick to weave newcomers into the fabric of the guild. This does not mean that we don't give each member enough space to play in their own style. Our guild is orientated towards adult players but we have several younger players and more are welcome. We like to kid and joke around a lot. Nothing mean mind you, but this is not the guild for the thin skinned or defensive.

What we are not:
We are not social workers, psychiatrist, a dating service, or baby sitters. In short no drama. We are here to help each other enjoy the game. Those who's behavior or attitude persistently undermines others enjoyment of the game will be looking for another guild.

What we do:
Like to plunder? We do that.
Like some help when faced with a tough task? We do that.
Like to SvS? We do that.
Like to play hide and seek? We do that.
Like to do Boss Battles? We do that.
Like to do scavenger hunts? We do that.
Like us to send you cash in real life? We don't do that.

Who are we looking for:
Any pirates who work and play well with others and are willing to play by our rules.

Becoming an Officer:
This is strictly up to our GM Mary Darkbane. Only those who have been in the guild long enough to show that they are reliable and helpful guild members will be considered and then only when Mary sees the need for new officers. So there is no point in asking, she will ask you when and if the occasion arises.

Our Rules:
Rule #1. Have Fun. Remember that this is a game and should not be taken too seriously. Remember the name of this guild is " For The Fun Of It".

Rule #2. The Golden Rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Rule #3. Be Courteous. Some folks don't mind if you teleport to or from them without asking but others do. A simple "Can I TP to you or I gtg now is
a simple common courtesy

Rule #4. Don't be bossy. Don't tell others how to play the game unless they ask for advice. No one likes a back seat driver.

Rule #5. No Bashing of other guilds or members is allowed.

Rule #6. Ask for help, do not demand it. As a guild we are here to help each other, but if we are busy at that moment you may have to wait until someone is free to help you.

Rule #7. When sailing on another pirates ship, follow your Captains orders and never take the wheel without permission. ( One exception would be if the captain gets disconnected. If this happens, don't be reckless with their ship. Take it to port and wait for the Captains return.

Rule #8 Be Respectful. It is far better to have an open discussion than the He Said, She Said triangulation. If you have a problem with someone, discuss it with that person. If you need a mediator, that is what your GM and or Officers are for. If there isn't an officer on at the time, one simple solution would be to log out and don't let things escalate. There are no life or death situations on this game. Be patient. Sometimes taking a break or a deep breath is all that is needed.
