Captain Rott brings word from Jolly Roger
 

Ahoy mates, I am surprised nobody had posted this. :sadmh9:

Strange things be coming. Captain Rott brought word from Jolly Roger yesterday. Jolly Roger wants to have a parley with us pirates. He is offering us the chance to join him and serve him for 100 years. If we choose not to join him he has threatened us with a new magical weapon. Some sort of large cannon. He is also seeking to increase his undead horde and as we saw today the result was nasty. The undead waves in the invasion yesterday when on forever and Jolly made it to the mansion and took it down. They were very strong today as was warned in the Grog Blog. Captain Rott says we have until today to decide if we will join up or not. I think I can speak for the Elite Thieves that we are against Jolly and will fight. Rott also stated that other islands would soon be threatened.

Captain Walters - The good captain was asked what we should do about this. He of course denounced JR and said we should fight. He then joined a bunch of us in a skeleton hunt! :buds:

I would like to thank all the Elite Thieves for honoring the GM's and giving them respect. Some others caused problems and some were sent packing off to jail.

Captain Whale - If anyone has anything to add or something i missed please post it here.

Well, I'll fight Jolly Roger, but only because it's something to do. I owe no allegience to the governor of Port Royal nor to Cap'n Walter.

If Roger gets a new cannon, can I get one too (weapon quest)?

Fins, Tenacles, & Gills aren't my best look & I refuse to serve under anyone who bullies others...
So I can say with confidence that Lizzy & the rest of BBK will fight against JR to the end. Other islands like Tortuga will be harder to defend though. A couple of us chatted about this yesterday in our guild. There will be more entrances to be guarded which might require more pirates...idk maybe that is what Big D meant when they said Pirates Unite. But even though JR's army might increase, you now see more pirates in high 40 to 50 Notoriety. So we are getting stronger, too. We have also partnered up on a couple occasions with other guilds to defend. This might be necessary in the future to quell an invasion...not sure. But as you all know everyone in a guild can't be on-line for an invasion. At this time, the invaders seem to correspond to the defenders, but it appears that might change. Guess time will tell..Aye?

I want my new cannon attached to my new Royal War Frigate :D I don't care about the cost...

Must admit yesterdays 2nd invasion seemed a bit tougher, though I don't know if that was just because we were a bit sloppy (hehe, too much rum beforehand? :D ) but the first went as planned and won both in any case... bring it Mr. Jolly Roger ;)

You'll get no argument from this pirate. Whenever an invasion is announced, the Elite Thievery Co. officers rally their members and we divide out between the main dock, bridge, and back beach areas. As other pirates, crews, and guild groups form up, we stand shoulder to shoulder to repel the invading waves. Once the invasion starts, there is no this crew and that crew, we fight as one :degen:

HAve not had the pleasure of fighting beside the BBK as of yet. But look forward to the day when we do.

Although some disagree with me, I have learned from being on test for alot of invasions that combining guilds to quell an intense invasion does work. We have had the pleasure of joining up with other great guilds on open & for that I thank them for the invites. BBK does work the invasions alone alot of the time, but as I stated...with the invasions being random & rl, we can not all be there to fight all the time. So, here is to the future of us pirates vs JR & his undead army. And, I'm sure we will fight side by side with ETC soon.

im considering allowing one of my pirates to agree to serve, just to have some inside info. if infact this is a serious proposition, an not just a "i'll offer you a choice, but if you accept i have no idea what o do about it" kind of deal XD

What server/time did this happen? If some players aren't online at the time or place, they'd not know about it. Also this news hasn't even been posted to the Grog Blog (yet). I'm sure their presence is authentic, I just wouldn't expect most people to know of events like this if they weren't in the right place at the right time.

An ultimatum for a few that will affect the many (in proportion to those who met with GMs, that is) ? I'm sure we have fine representation in the players who were asked but still... (not like the result would be different)

Im guessing this week something "new" will finally come to the test server?

If indeed it matches some of the files that were leaked, are the NEW weapons for us that we've seen pics of coming soon?

And I agree about Tortuga being different. But, is the Faithful Bride the intended target? If so, there are several archways and gateways along the way for barricades and defense points. Especially coming from the beach opposite the shipwrights. There is an additional court yard Jolly can be bottled up in.

Lastly, the only thing I could see affecting the OUTCOME is if Rott's offer actually AFFECTS the pirate. In other words, if you sign-on then you will be PART of the ASSAULT, not the defense. But I seriously doubt that. WAY too many high levels would sign up and the assaults would be too one-sided.

true, but we asked for a challenge, maybe the developers decided to give us one that would be frustrating for awhile until we organize ourselves. also, if the change DOES affect the pirate, perhaps it will be like the muertos moon curse. many of the player's i've talked to said they would be intersted in seeing what would happen should jolly strike during the moon curse. maybe this will be our chance to find out?

Call me a traitor, but where can I sign up to be in Jolly Roger's Undead Army? Being dead does seem to have its benefits.
