The Muertos Moon Sets November 02, 2009

It stuck without warning - the light of the Muertos Moon - and suddenly you were fighting against friends, guild and crewmates. Don't be sorry mates... it was the curse. You couldn't help yourself!

With the return of clear skies, and the way this reads, it almost implies that there won't be any more invasions for a while!

They make it sound as if the invasions were one attempt, then the Muertos Moon was a second attempt, but that JR has been defeated, at least for now.

The clear skies also imply that there won't be any invasions for some time to come.

If this is so, I'll miss the invasions.

I do not believe we have seen the last of Jolly Roger. Yes, the Muertos Moon has set, just like it did last year after Halloween. But do not be fooled by the clear skies. The timing of the addition of the invasions and the warning that the curse was coming back just made it seem like the strange sky color were connected. On the test server, skies were clear before an invasion occured.

So as I said, be warned. Jolly Roger will return :degen:

Don't forget the Rott Quest...it plays in here somewhere methinks...much more than allowing JR to invade PR to be defeated so many times...I don't believe the programmers at Big D spent all that time on the invasions & Rott's quest for a Halloween treat. This pirate believes there is more to come.

I hope they do bring the invasions back. They are so much fun!! :dancetl6:

Remember, on test - we did NOT have the green skies at all times. They would remain blue, and then when given the '30 minute notice' for invasions, the skies would darken, and the barriers would go up.

We were actually surprised about the green skies being ongoing on open - as on test, during invasions that was the only time the sky was green.

Aye this be not the end yet mates!

Not only is the green sky gone, so is the Zombie Dance.. :(


Please, i hope this isn't the last of the invasions as well! Why would they add it to the players guide on the official site if it was only a temporary thing? :( Besides, i gotta give Jolly Roger his birthday gifts!:piratetongueor4:

Too much test site time for JR to just disappear into the night...besides...so many of us pirates are now addicted to the invasions! Hmmm...maybe time for the Kraken to help out poor ole Jolly...

From what I've heard from players who seem to be 'in the know' the invasions are completely still ongoing, and will be an ongoing thing for some time. Definitely NOT a temporary occurrence.

I like how this is implying to more though. Whether or not the invasions continue, what I take from this, is there is something ELSE they have planned as well. I'll be crossing me fingers that whatever they've got planned comes before christmas. They seem to have been catching up in regards to releasing stuff, or at least getting the story line going. Invasions, ghosts, regular updates to the site. So far, so good.... Aye?

I would of tend to agree that the invasions may be gone - until it was brought to my attention (by my fellow Guild Mates as we were gabbing yesterday) that the Official Site even has the Invasions listed in the Players Guide with Strategies

Aye, ye pirates arr sounding wise and aye will agree with ye... This is not the last of JR and his minions. However we may have to wait for a few moons until he betters his strategy. We all know his last ones were not good enough to better us pirates.

I wasn't SAYING that the invasions are gone. I was reading into the message. It implies that they may be gone for now, and the skies back to normal support that implication. I think they may be on "Hiatus" for awhile, though. I actually hope I'm wrong. I enjoy the deviation from weapons grinding.

I think what is coming next is the story continuation after awhile but just before that they did say they hoped to finish Loot 'n Invin. before the year is out......They might do invasions off and on till the years out....just got posted in 'Invasions crew up' that Tortuga is coming....
