My Absence

Sorry for not being on lately, but real-life has tossed me all over the place and I haven't had much time to play at all. Been pretty busy with marching band for one, and that takes away 4-5 days of my week. On top of that I've had something for the past week which my doctors are promising me is a "sinus infection" (however I do not believe them for a second), which has kept me off my feet a lot for the past couple of days.

So, how has the few active members of the guild been spending there time online while I've been gone? Hope no-one has ran off in my absence, don't want ya'll to think I've abandoned you. :mickeypiratezd4:

Really marching band?
what instrument do you play?
I'm a percussionist myself, although mallets (my position) is not my strongsuit.

Same here. Marching band can be a killer during football season.

But when I've been on I've noticed some activity in the guild. Hopefully once you get back we can get on rolling.

^I'm in percussion myself, although I'm on the bass drum.(oh... my back)

P.S. It's been really hard finding people to invite to the guild, as most of the people that don't have guilds that I can find don't seem like the nicest of sort.

I actually played mallets myself, and from the few competition tapes I listened to the judges said that I was one of the best they had heard in the area. This year however (and hopefully until I graduate), I'm one of the drum majors for our band.

Glad to hear that there's still a bit of activity within the guild, glad to see we didn't die out again while I've been gone. Hopefully I'll be back on in the next week or so and I can get back to recruiting and coming to events. :-)

Not to get too off topic, but since you're a drum major, when marching practice is over, do you select which sections get to leave first? I've always found it rude that the drum major here switches between sections, but always makes the drumline/pit leave first. It gets really annoying.
