Virus Protection

Alright for the past while now my family has been using McAFee for virus protection software. Recently my dad discovered how many licenses he has been using and is now looking into buying some new software. Does anybody know of any good stuff like mcafee? Do not worry about price when you suggest stuff, just looking for something good.

Norton 360 is what I use...

Well, if you aren't considering price, best virus protection = buy a Mac.

Try using AVG, it's what I use and I never worry about viruses on this computer anymore.

Plus, AVG is 100% free. If you want a link to download it I can PM it to ya.

Try using avast!.

It's a really good anti virus that was made to protect company computers and sites.(I believe) I own it, and it's free, and so far it's blocked a lot of potentially harmful viruses. It also updates every day, usually in the morning. I also get a lot of information about it, like ads that will take you to an unsafe site with a virus.

avast! also found a few huge bugs that were on some company websites. They stopped the virus, and I guess avast! was given some money for their antivirus.

I'm not saying it's the best, but they say that over a million(I think six million) people own avast. When it's free, avast! rocks. When you pay for it, it's even better. I believe it's in the top twenty of best anti viruses. But I'm not sure. I can tell you this, though. It's way better than norton.

If ye have Windows, I strongly recommend Windows Live OneCare or Windows Defender. If you have a Mac or Linux, I have no recommendations, I have never used anything other than a Windows...

If you're going to go the Microsoft route, you might consider the new Microsoft Security Essentials. It's their latest malware protection offering and it's free. I don't use it (yet), but I've heard good things about it.

That's the best advice I've ever heard/said myself. XD
JK, but he's right you know.
They are expensive though...
MacAfee seems to be doing fine for my Virtual PC, maybe it's different for a full PC...
