Uh, is it just me or....
 

Is it just me or has both the quantity and quality of cargo fallen off lately? I almost always sink the big guys, unless I need something else for a quest. Used to be, even just last month, I could make a run and come in with a hold of 7 or 8 royals. Sometimes it was 2 or even 3 from a single ship. Now even on the really big ships I'm bringing in mostly cargo crates? What is a behemoth or a dready doing with a single cargo crate when it's over level 35 and I have 5 points in treasure sense? Am I the only one who has noticed this, or is it getting you guys too?

If it's all of us I propose we just forget the sinking and go water skiing!

I've had the same thoughts...a few days ago, I was questing (with full treasure sense) for EITC galleons and frigates, and I hit a few Warlords that gave me about 6 cargo crates and treasure chests, and 1 lonely royal. I hit a Marauder and got 3 royals. It makes no sense. LOL. I don't know if the recession has hit the Caribbean or if D is just being a penny-pincher, but I miss my royals.

I have noticed, however, when I've got full crew (usually I'm not captain, I prefer hitting up public ships and joining large crews) the total amount of gold seems to be better despite the lack of royals being brought in. Could be just me doing some wishful thinking, though. =)

Probably just the mathematics of the crew bonus. Despite there being few royals, you can get a pretty good haul with enough treasures and crates.

I haven't specifically noticed a difference, because I don't really know how many royals I used to get, because I didn't go after the big ships without a crew or better boat. I did, however, think to myself just last week that the royals seem so few and far between. If it had been like that forever, I think I would have noticed sooner.

I have noticed it too...Getting royals from ships like Shadow Crows, but not from the biggins. Although, I don't use treasure sense...mine is kinna hit & miss.

I haven't noticed that. I just got 12 Royals on my war frigate.
