Im New, Can anyone help me with this question please
 

Hey,

I have been playing POTCO for about 2 days now and I realised that you need to buy Unlimited membership to get more skills, clothes Ect Ect. I noticed some people that have Hats and a coat that arn't members. When I asked them where they had got it nearly all of them said they recieved it when they started the game... and they havn't ever bought Unlimited Membership. Are they just messing with me because im new or is there actualy a way to gain these items even if your not a Unlimited Member.

During the make your pirate phase of the intro, after Jack leaves the jail cell, you design your pirate's features, then choose her/his clothes. There, you can get a coat and a hat from the basic list.

It's not totally obvious as you build your first pirate, but then you learn from things as you go.

If you didn't get them initially, the only way to do it is to delete your pirate and rebuild, there is no going back.

I have deleted my pirate and am remaking one right now, there is no hat section or coat section......

In one of the recent updates they removed alot of the starting clothing choices for both basic and unlimited members. So now the only way to get them is to buy them which basic cannot do.

I apologize for that. It used to let you take a hat and a coat. I haven't made a new pirate in months, and didn't know they had removed those options from the make a pirate section.

So what your saying is now i have just deleted my lvl 14 character for nothing......

Ouch, unfortunately yes. However, you can go to PiratesOnline.com on the left side of the screen look up Help, Contact Us, and then E-mail form. There you can explain the situation, tell them your account name, and your pirates name, and they can get the pirate back for you. You will have to have an empty space, but as basic members can have 2 pirates hopefully you have the room. They are very good at getting back pirates that have been gone less than a week, but do this as soon as possible.

Hmm... So thats where my basic access hat went! :(

wait my hat is gone? finnaly, I hated that thing!!!
