The meaning of Perdida

I was just reading my national geographic about a portugeese east indiaman that was found buried in a seacost diamond mining oporation 16 miles north of the orange river in nambia africa after trying to round the horn with a large trading fleet en route to India around 1536 they found the ship ( the Bom Jesus they think it was called)was listed in an almost 500 year old record book in portugal bineith its picture likeness was it listed as PERDIDO or lost. so would that make the meaning of Isla Perdida ( i assume) Island Lost or Isle of the Lost.Just thought it was a little interesting tidbit to share.Edit:skirata suggests Lost Island , I thought put didnt put it up becauseof word order . but again i dont speak porugesse but i think skiratas right.

hmm...
I guess Scary was "lost" (marooned) on that island, and its pretty wild so... I guess that makes sence.

Aye , like I told a friend of mine when we were taking the flag there im rarely there , must be a little lost.(at least off the traffic seas)

Makes perfect sense. The only reason you'd be on Perdida is if you were lost or looking for Mary - WHO LOST HER MIND.

I would say she has lost more than that!! lol

Speaking of translations, Casa de Muertos mean (House of the Dead)

Hmm...

Pretty interesting. Never in a million years would I have known that.

Well I've heard of a figure called the son of perdition, so it wasn't a strtech for me. I really, really like the name I must say. The islands are named fabulously.
