Which is your favorite POTC movie?

though i think the first one is the best, my favorite is the 3rd one

Gonna go with the first. When he steps off the sinking ship on to the dock at the start! classic

I watched the first two but don't really care for them. I played the game long before I ever watched the movies. (Came over with some friends from another site.) If I had to choose I'd rather end up watching the Black Pearl. Dead Man's Chest grosses me out big time.

Oh yeah lol! That was hysterical...

And that other part:

DOCKWORKER: Sir, it is a shanty to tie up your boat. And I will need to know your name.
SPARROW: What do you say to three shanties, and we forget the name?
(DOCKWORKER thinks momentarily)
DOCKWORKER: Welcome to Port Royal, Mr. Smith.
(SPARROW walks away, finds a bag of coins, and steals it)

Dead Man's Chest, I love the Kraken, the Black Pearl at speed, and mostly just the humor of Jackie in it.

Ye can't beat the original. Though each movie has special qualities that I like, for instance; I watch POTC2 for the humor. Jack and the cannibals always leaves me in a hysterical laughter.
I also thourougly enjoy the kraken scenes. The music and animation is phenomenal.

POTC3 is definitely a darker, more intense plot. Though it can get a little out there ;) I enjoy the story line it follows. For instance, the Brethren Court was a nice addition to the plot in my opinion.
Other scenes such as the battle between the Dutchman and the Pearl are also really quite amazing.

Each movie captures my eye in a different way, for different reasons. And though it is hard to choose amongst the three, I still have to give the title of 'favorite' to the first, Pirates of the Caribbean:
Curse of the Black Pearl. It truly captures the general sense of a 'pirate' in all its originality. It stays on topic, within the Caribbean, and really holds true to what we today think of as 'pirate-like'.
The first movie also gives us the best sense of the characters as well. For instance, I feel Jack, though witty throughout the trilogy, has many of his best moments and most memorable lines in the first movie.

When I voted the first thing I thought was number 1 but then changed my mind to 3.Now im thinking 1 again.I ussualy do.All three are good but they were getting a little far feched.I want to the new one On Stanger Tides when its ready.im just hoping the strange is more like jack at the port royal dock in 1 with the boat sinking , more than the peanut in 3.

Um, hard to choose! I chose Dead Man's Chest but that and POTC1 is close to that. The third one was great too but I think Dead Man's Chest has more in it ya know? Can't wait for the forth movie! ( Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides ) ( I think )

Oh... I can't explain how excited I am for the 4th movie. But you are right, it is going to be Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. It will be released in the summer of 2011, according to the Pirates Online and Disney official websites.

Ooh.. looks like The Curse of the Black Pearl and At World's End are contenders for the poll winner!

I'm having deja vu here. I could have swore I already voted about this a year ago.

My favorite is the first one. As others have said before me, in other threads, the sequels are just for money. I just think the first one had more heart. There was a lot more thought put into it in my opinion. Sure the second and third were good, but they were all about the great special effects.

I have got to say the first one.
