Captain Ezekiel Rott and the Casa de Muertos guild are looking for some brave Pirates. You see, Captain Rott and his crew work for rich merchant who is coming to Port Royal in about a month to conduct some important business. However, before he makes his appearance, the merchant needs some work done on the island to prepare for his arrival. Pirates that help the guild complete these "jobs" will be rewarded large sums of gold.

Meet Captain Rott and crew on the beach of Port Royal by shipwright Darby Drydock from 9/4 - 9/27 to help out, but be prepared, Casa de Muertos is looking for Pirates that have some experience for these Quest:
Captain Ezekiel Rott - There is no level requirement for this Quest
Samuel Shaw - An overall Notoriety Level 8 required for this Quest
Bill Barrett - An overall Notoriety Level 14 required for this Quest
Nathan Gould - An overall Notoriety Level 16 required for this Quest
Jeremiah Dedman - An overall Notoriety Level 20 required for this Quest
If you do complete these quests, the gold you earn will be well worth it... Are you up to the challenge of completing the Casa de Muertos guild Quest?

For those who haven't read the comments already, I asked the question that's been in the back of most peoples minds (or at least it was in the back of mine:D):

I only ask because if our decision to help the Captain changes the path my pirate takes, I'd like to be informed... I have considered NOT doing the quest to see if it makes any difference but I don't want to miss out on all the nice gold and rep for nothing either.

This was their response:

So I guess we DO have somewhat of a say on what the future holds.. Interesting to know...

I'm glad you asked that question Jules and that it was actually answered! Good thinking mate!:dancetl6:

The only problem is will it be a good or bad thing depending on the outcome. It doesn't say what will change!!

Regardless of how many do this quest the outcome has already been decided. How can anyone of us know how many really made the quest or not. The next thing to come related to this will be something along the lines of... Because some pirates helped this happened...
Why would they put a quest and set a story line laid out if the plan wasn't already in motion? Imagine how long will it take after the event to count those that did the quest, then later create the next step, then test it, and then eventually release it out in open?

I wonder how much gold each quest pays. :D

They probably have 2 story lines in mind, and partially developed. (The story developers got in an arguement about which way to go, so they are going to keep track of the number of people who do the quest, and let that make their decision for them.) And, as far as counting the number, all they have to do is keep track of each time the subroutine for Captain Rott is opened. A simple counter will do that for them.

Just finished them and yes they all work I think the one was disabled on test to test if it would pull all unfinished quests from the journal on a certain time frame, knowing we would all finish it on test and not leave one undone!

Can basic access do the quest??

Charles Darkwolf 09-04-2009 04:40 PM

Overall, I was hoping for a more challenging quest from Rott and the boys. A larger gold cap to collect the gold that was wasted, because my gold is already maxed, would have been great. The real bright spot from the quest though, was the Rep recieved from doing the task. If I had to grade it, I'd give it a C.

I read in the site news when the Casa de Muertos Guild first was seen around the Caribbean was that Captain Rott and his crew were sent to Davy Jones' Locker at the battle of Padres Del Fuego (which the site game devs said was true) and that they struck a deal with Jolly Roger. Another post on the site said that the guild agreed to remove some Voodoo relics that were keeping Jolly Roger off Port Royal (which is what the quests are about). While this could be fake, the posts were dated before the quests came out. But they could be test players...

EDIT: I also read that Casa de Muertos means house of the dead.
