Pirate friend vs Player friend - Some info to help you decide
Player Friends vs Pirate Friends in POTCO
Player Friends:- Player to Player friendship level (aka DxD friends), extends friendship to all your pirates (and all your friends), it also extends even further into other DxD enabled games. (Currently I only know of Pixie Hollow)
- Chatbox Notification when your player friend logs in/out of any Disney DxD enabled game.
- Player name listed on Players Friends list, tan when online and dark grey when off. Mouseover player name on the Player friend list displays white.
- You should be able to locate, and send messages to your Player friend, basically whispers, even if they are in another DxD enabled game such as Pixie Hollow. That works both ways, if you login to another DxD enabled game your Player friend will be able to see you on their list, locate, and message you.
- If you play other Disney DxD enabled games your Player friends playing POTCO will be able to see you login to your other game.
- They will also be able to pull up your plaque and see what game your in, and even chat with you from POTCO.
- If Player friend is currently playing POTCO
- Your Player friends currently selected Pirate name will appear on your Pirates friend list in yellow. Mouseover the pirate name on Pirates friend list will reveal your friends Player friend name in white.
Pirate Friends:
- Pirate to Pirate only friendship level, does not extend beyond the two friended pirates.
- Chatbox Notification when Pirate friend logs in/out of POTCO.
- Pirate name listed on Pirates friends list as tan when online and dark grey when off. Pirate friendship overrides Player friendship on Pirates list (display wise)
Recommendations:- Player Friends - If your a real sociable pirate and want to always be in contact, and contactable by friends across the most games using built in features then Player friendship is the way to go! As Disney continues to develop their games, it is likely we will see more of them supporting this feature as well.
- Pirate Friends - Even sociable pirates like some occasional quiet time. Do you like to have that "Secret pirate" to get some occasional quiet time? Not at all unusual, and if so, then Pirate friends is likely the better choice for you, as you would add your friends to whatever pirates you wanted to share, and not on that "Secret" pirate. ;)
I was rather confused as to what the lists meant, so I took some notes, asked a few others some questions, observed how it worked for awhile, and then thought i'd share.
Thanks for your time.
