recommended skill point spending on cutlass

I'll tell you want you need to spend your skill points for the most effective weapon
(if you dont like ideas then dont bother looking. here are just my ways of making a extraordinary weapon!)

The Cutlass

hack+slash+cleave+flourish+thrust= enemy in slices

Combos
hack: only one dosent give much
slash: yet again, one point
cleave: two or one point. still dont give as much
flourish: outstanding attack!! worth 4 or 5 points
thrust: really good! definetly a 5

Skills
sweep: one point. dosent seem worth it
brawl: stuns enemies so i would give it one or two
taunt: dont expect much so one
bladestorm: definetly a 5 point

Passive
parry: sure its fine put how much you want
endurance: all extra points could be anything so put as much as you want here!

HOPE THIS HELPS! :piratetongueor4::piratetongueor4:

NOTE:i'll be making one for the others soon so dont worry!

one more. dont put this on early do it when your cutlass lvl 20+ and retrain it. this is really important or else everything will fall aparrt

I see sweep as a very well skill because if there is a enemy who has 200 life left and it takes 4 seconds to kill with a combo and only 1 second to kill it with sweep than I press sweep!!!

Well its a good guide , but I see it as too unbalanced ,
in the event that thrust, flourish or blade storm would miss (which they sometimes do)
you will be short about 700-1000 damage points that takes some time to get back,
with going through all the combo skills.

I prefer a approach more like this for my cutlass:
_____
3hack
3slash
4cleave
4flourish
4thrust
______
1sweep
2brawl
1taunt
3bladestorm
-------
1parry
* being that I maxed blade instinct, my cutlass and dagger attacks all do
a additional 25% more damage, meaning my cutlass really looks like this:

4hack
4slah
5cleave
5fourish
5 thrust
_____
2sweep
2brawl
1taunt
4bladestorm
-----
1parry

I'm sure I don't have the best layout, but with new weapon lvls coming out
it will look much different.

Brawl/Sweep/Bladestorm/Sweep--I'm thinking that the skills used to perform these should be maxed, as Brawl should be the first skill used in a duel of blades I think, with Sweep being performed second as it recharges fastest. Bladestorm for the good damage is there. Anything else should be performed with a combo. If a maxed hack could kill a person after taking so much damage, I'd max Hack. If it took a max Slash with a few extra points in Hack, I'd do it. Basicly, the best combo is the minimum combo with the points applied as strongly as possible.

Parry is worthy of 5 points: Endurance, not so much, especially with the new levels introduced. The health added is lesser than ever, since it doesn't gain from levels you gain.

With 31 skill points in a weapon, if it is 26 no longer, this scheme would be my first of choice, as I don't feel like running and would much rather mash some buttons:

1 Hack +? For the combo skills,
1 Slash +? I'd place points to deal a deathblow as soon as the mashing fails,
? Cleave =? if indeed it does. I wouldn't really know.
? Flourish =? This is all theoretical, mind.
? Thrust =?

5 Sweep
5 Brawl
0 Taunt
5 Blade Storm

5 Parry
0 Endurance

Anyway, I wouldn't really know much of anything of the sort. Like I said up above, it's all theory on my part.

I see you dont think Sweep has much use.
One of the primary advantages of Sweep (which could also be a disadvantage), is that it hits all enemies in range, not just the targeted enemy.
That is one of its primary functions, is to provide a multi-enemy attack on cutlass. Very useful in regular game play, may not be as useful in a PvP environment.

I pvp alot so i have these:

1 hack
1 slash
1 cleave
5 flourish
5 thrust

5 sweep
1 brawl
0 taunt
5 bladestorm

Just my two cents though
