Ship Cargo Bug?
This may be hard to explain, try to stay with me. :psmiley35:
Was sailing on test and got discoed. Prior to my disco, I had landed five treasure chests. Didn't land, didn't TP off ship, just POOF. Couldn't get back on after the disco, storms..., didn't think much of it. Logged on to test for a bit this afternoon, thought I'd do some more investigating into ship speed and try to see if I could make sense of the compass...When I boarded my ship, I still had those five treasures in my inventory. Thought, WOW, it was saved. Shot a few more ships, landed, and got credit for the five from the night before and the three I picked up on that trip. Problem is, I can't duplicate it. I sailed some today and just x-ed out, thinking the game may think I discoed, no go. Freak bug? Or you think it has to be TRUE disco to save the cargo? Or did I just get lucky? Sent a report, still haven't heard back. Course, If my report reads anything like this, I may have just completely confused them... ;) |
If I had an encounter like that I'd probably stay on for a while to see if I could disco'.
I've been disconnecting on test more ever since the update, but I never disconnected at sea. Maybe I'll get lucky and disconnect at sea later so I can see if this happens to me. If I would have to guess, I would say this is a freak bug. Since x-ing out of the game isn't a true disco' I would try testing this again to see if it happens again. This is an odd bug, and I know nothing about making games but... it sounds to me like the game thought you never logged out. Just a guess, but if I were the game and didn't think someone logged out, I would have kept the cargo "stuck" to the ship. But games don't think, and I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm sure there's some logical reason why this happened. |
I have tried it, and I believe it was a fluke, and the game simply thought her ship was out to sea that entire time. I can easily simulate a DC, and could not recreate the occurrence.

now i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to computers definitley second all it appears to be is disney set it up so that it would save the data onto your pirates online files and next time you were out to sea it would load the data but i could be wrong

The same thing happened to me except that I didn't get credit for the cargo I was showing when I logged back on. Just the 6 I got after I reconnected...

my geuss is that if disneys servers have issues then it saves how ever if the user causes it it doesn't save
