I think ships of these capacities and fire power although they sound real neat are way too much for the game.

I agree with Zep, I would prefer ship customization rather than new ships.

Well, I would like both. A standard set of ships and then the ability to customize.

Me personally, I would prefer to have a Schooner. I'm just a fore-and-aft kind of guy, I guess!

If we are just wishing here. Then I would just vote for all of those options, more ships owned, and ship customization.

I'll take a motorboat. Forget authenticity. I want to get to the other islands faster. =D

The ship naming idea would be awesome, but just more stuff for their moderators go have to go through. But would like to have it for sure.

Having more ship types to choose from would be very cool as well.

But ships of such major capacities?
We already pull in more gold than we can spend in the game!!!
My pirates sit at 65k gold max all the time.
Bigger hauls, larger plunders... not seen as entirely all that useful as of yet.
Not even sure why they increased the capacities of the ships we have!

Firepower?
You can sink the hardest ship in the game with a light sloop if you know what your doing.
Takes a long time, but can be done.
Where would the purpose of more powerful ships help?


If the game undergoes some EXTREMELY major content updates increasing the size of the 'world' 5 or 6 times, provide us with more inventory abilities, higher level areas (3-4 times higher than now) of the sea etc. Then I think 'new' ships with higher capacities and firepowers such as these would be useful. Different designs im all for, but without major upgrades the game isnt ready for more powerful, higher capacity ships.

Let us sail a Black Pearl type of ship Potco! ;)

as from ship customization these would also apply to be customizable

also the sizes i mentioned would be the largest said ship would come in

as for what POTCO would have to do to get these ships to work in the game,

Well, ship customization would be great! I'd love to have a few more broadsides and a paint job on the ship, maybe even different colored sails.

BUT, as for a new ship in the game. I would like to see a either a Spanish Treasure Galleon or a Spanish Royal Galleon, I tend to use these ships the most in the game, Sid Meier's Pirates. They start out slow but gets better as it picks up speed. The cargo hold held a lot, and has massive broadsides. Plus they look better than the Galleons POTCO has now.

I want a black pearl look alike ship. It doesn't have to be the same color, it only needs to be the same size and look. After all those BB we should at least be able to use the pearl but we can't have a hundred thousands black pearls sailing around so when we do finish the pearl quest why not give us a ship that is the same size and look.

Though I like the idea if getting a 'pearl' ship - you hit the point right on mentioning that everyone would eventually have one (then it wouldn't be special anymore)

Not sure how to get around that... maybe an almost impossible quest (which players may complain about being unfair, so I can't see it happening) or a special award / code (outstanind account for one year or something)... :)

If I could customize my ship - I think that would be the bomb-diggity! :D

Something I've always wanted is instead of having lite, reg and war classes of the 3 ship types like they have now have 3 ship types: 1. Fast ships (sloop), 2. Cargo ships (Gallon) and Fighter ships (Frigate). The way it would work is 3 Historical ships in each of these classes.

For example in the Cargo class you might have:
1. Fleut (replacing lite gallon)
2. Gallon (replacing reg Gallon)
3. Indiaman (Replacing War Gallon)

Fighter Class:
!. Brigantine
2. Frigate
3. Man o War or Ship of the line

Fast Ships
1. Sloop
2. Brig Sloop
3 Schooner.

I'm guessing a lot here and probably don't have many of the types right (or the periods), but you get the idea.

I agree with Zep we don't need stronger ships. But having more types of ships with some historical accuracy would be nice.
