These are estimated outage times, maintenance may take longer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

(This maintenance was originally scheduled for last week, but was delayed. - and is delayed again...)

So, why did they boot us last week?

Jack Sunskull 07-27-2009 06:20 PM

That would be nice to know.

Pirates, please note this is scheduled maintenance of the Pirates Online game server hardware and other systems - no new content or updates will be introduced to the Live game when we take this outage.

The Revive option and other features that are currently on Test will be introduced to the Live game soon - but please don't expect them with this outage. Thanks for your understanding.

They probably had all of the same intentions, but got things down, and then realized they were missing a piece of the puzzle, or some prerequisite had not been met. Maybe they got new equipment, and suddenly realized they were missing one particular key component.

Who knows, when working with computers, stuff happens.

There have been times that I have bought new stuff for my computer, rushed home, and then realized I forgot to get the $2 cable I needed to put it all together.

Thanks for giving us a heads up POTCO.

I don't mind the update, I have been basic for a couple of months now because I turned off the auto renewal and I do not intend to get unlimited until new content surfaces.

So if D wants to upgrade then be my guest.

Ah...Disney being clumsy enough on this?

Dr. Zeppers 07-28-2009 02:04 AM

I'll bet its all about scheduling. Probably dependant on outside vendors as well.

Jack Sunskull 07-28-2009 04:47 AM

Maybe they forgot to pick up their usb cords at Best Buy.

lostmymarbles 07-28-2009 04:52 AM

There is one other possibility (OH! but how DARE someone make such a scandalous remark!!) that the Devs are now all hanging out at the Smokehouse Bar in Burbank laughing about "the little joke" they pulled.
Hey...that's what I'd be doing!
:laughks2:
