Play POTCO $5 per month---Hurry
Ok, I'm not sure if it's a fluke, or what.
The other day, I heard that Disney pulled all the game cards out of the stores. I was told that they weren't available at Walmart, Target, or anywhere else. Today I was in BestBuy for something, and just happened to walk by the game card display, and they still had POTCO one month game cards for $9.95, and there was a little sign there, BUY ONE GET ONE FREE! Only on the one month Pirates cards. I bought 8. It cost me $39.60. I don't know if this is their way of getting them off the shelves, if Disney is going to stop selling them, or what. But, I would suggest that anyone who uses game cards get to a BestBuy and check it out. |
Interesting, Gotta check when I can, not gonna be a while though.

sigh... i was just going to go to cvs tomorrow -_- No best buy or target, or any others(that sell hose cards) around here for like 200 miles. they just built the cvs.

Probably being stopped as another loop hole for banned players to gain access to the game.

I noticed that our local Target stores no longer carried them, thought it rather curious.
I do wonder what this means. If they are shutting down, their latest PR barrage would seem a waste of energy. Is it likely that they are going to change/restructure pricing? (perhaps even to include some family/multi-account pricing. I notice that the official website still proudly displays a CC a problem? Get a game card banners, and points to the usual store banners. Edit: They appear to still be available at Best Buy online, at least the 1 month 9.95 version. Target online also (including the 90day version). |
Like I said, I was TOLD that they were being taken off the shelves. Just happened to be in BestBuy for something else, walked by the game card counter and decided to stop and look. Don't know if it was an unadvertised special, or what.
Little sign said buy one get one free. I took 8 and paid for 4. I just wanted to let others aho use the game cards know about it, in case they can also take advantage of it. |
It would be an interesting tact, if they did restructure the price. After all Club Penguin is only $6.99 a month and they have a lot going on in that little game - so perhaps by lowering the price, they in turn attract many more players.
And if Pirates has been hemorraging so many players - they gotta' get new blood coming in. I suspect if the updates are coming in August, there will be a new ad push right before school starts - since more kids will be available to play as the weather changes and Disney would have the new features to promote. So dumping off the cards makes sense for any future price changes, etc. http://remnants.aowc.net/user/258174.../etcsealsm.png |
I just game back from my local best buy and there was no two for one deal there. Maybe it is a store deal on that one as some stores will offer specials of their own.
At a two for one deal on a $10 a month it is about $20 cheaper to but a years worth of those game cards and use them instead of paying the annual fee to play. |
Found the 9.95 cards at my local CVS for .. well 9.95 hehe.
Some places havent taken them off the shelves if they were told to. I know Target has removed them from their store shelves (at least locally). |
Nooo
If this is not fixed! I'm going to quit POTCO and join POTBS! |
forget potbs its dying.....
