Hate that this happened, people can be so immature.
My little pirate is back in, Mary Anne Talbot.
Good luck getting everyone back!

Dr. Zeppers 07-06-2009 04:53 AM

Perhaps they should make it so only GMs can delete, and officers can only add new members.
Hope all goes well in getting the family back together.

From the looks of the list officers got booted too.

Sorry to hear about this, best of luck to -CS- and Crim on recovering everyone. Its a shame that people have to resort to this.

His co Gm's have access to his GM account, that's how they were deleted.

Eliza Creststeel 07-06-2009 05:58 AM

No, they can't just limit to GM's...

Sorry - twice now, I've had my GM go bellyup and leave us high and dry! They need a Co-GM and then the GM should be able to set which officers can delete, so they can limit the untrustworthy.

The Skirata Clan 07-06-2009 06:32 AM

then maybe he can claim a hack in his account and get everything restored.

I meant "They" as in POTCO, change the code etc.
Didnt mean to implicate it could be done currently.

Sven Osymthe 07-06-2009 07:00 AM

I think Eliza meant, POTCO shouldn't do that, because guilds who have lost their GM due to inactivity could no longer eject anyone

If anything were to ever happen, I sorta like this idea. Have a few set people who can remove members, while others are limited to recruiting. Would be the same as the GM option, but with the ability to allow more people to do so, reducing the issue of inactivity.

Erich Uchiha 07-06-2009 03:43 PM

Its unreal how so many inmature people thrive on this game.

I have to agree what you guys are saying above Officers should only be able to recruit.

Alehahaa 07-06-2009 04:35 PM

I agree with Eliza.. officers are needed sometimes to drop people, when the GMs become inactive.
Which is why that co GM idea could work out.

Good luck CS!

Bartholomew Foulsteel 07-06-2009 05:35 PM

I would liek to see GMs be able to ASSIGN what their officers can do. Simple toggle buttons for Promote, Demote, Recruit, Boot,

That would allow a GOOD transfer of power based on what the GM believes each of his officers can accomplish.

Miss Hexsilver 07-06-2009 05:47 PM

-sigh- Some people can be so mean. As for assigning what Officers can do, that's one thing I agree with. However, this was done on the GM's account. Good luck -CS-

The same thing could be done to members too. My Lock idea is a good idea too. However, Officers can't promote or demote people really--you can't boot someone of your rank nor can you promote someone to your rank. Members being able to recruit or make applicants or something (applicants would be registered, and require "confirmation" by an officer or something) would be cool too.
