Gordon Greer Quest bugged for me

On June 29/2009 after deliver a parrot to June, she tells me to talk to Gordon Greer. When I started the conversation with Gordon Greer, the internet disconnected and when I got back on, the game said to talk to William Turk. After talking to him it has listed my quest as
"The Liberation of the Black Pearl
Black Pearl Recruit: Gordon Greer
Right Geer's Wrongs
William Turk
Visit William Turk COMPLETE!"

The quest is now telling me to go to Fabiola, however talking to her won't give me the next part of the quest and only gives my the choice to by stuff or leave.

This happened with my pirate Robert Dreadskull.

Is any of this supposed to happen?

I would try talking to June, then Greer then Turk then Fabiola all again, and all in that order. It appears that you got credit for talking to Greer, but when your inet connection discoed, you didn't pick up the next part of the quest properly.

Rerunning the steps in the proper order may help you out. Otherwise, you may have to talk to online chat/tech support to have them reset your quest. Not even sure if they can do that.

One side note. A lot of pirates like to do the quests with a friend. Keep their pirates on the same quests together. I know of one time where two pirates both were working on the same quest, and they both needed to talk to Gilagoda. They got there and both hit the shift key at the same time.

Only one got assigned the next step in the quest, the other was given full credit for the quest and sent on to the next major section. Some may think that skipping an entire quest section is neat, but it's not. Byt the time the pirate who DIDN'T skip the section did all the questing and caught up to his partner, he was over 1 1/2 Notoriety levels ahead. The rep he earned gave him that much. Now, the two pirates were at the exact same level on thier questing, but one was over 14K ahead in rep.

The lesson that I learned from this was that, If two or more people are there together for talking to the NPC, Wait your turn and do it one at a time.

Deffinately give support a call! I was that pirate that got an entire quest skipped, and believe me, it stunk! Didn't think to give POTCO a call when it happened, but I wish I did.

I wonder what would happen if you were on the last recruit. Would you skip to libirate the Black Pearl or end the story chapter without leadership?
