BETA TESTERS: Is it better than VMK?
 

Just curious... is it better or worse than VMK?

It is very different than VMK - I think some will continue to like VMK better and others will prefer POTCO better - having played both, I chose POTCO over VMK although I will continue with VMK - but will devote much more time to POTCO :forum smiley sword:

POTCO will win my vote, IF they fix the bugs, lag, and many graphic issues. If they fix those, I will for surely pick POTCO over VMK.

I'm guessing that VMK is better for chatting, am I right?

Not really. With POTCO, your vocabulary isn't limited (with the exception of a few banned words), so you don't have the dictionary dancing that inevitably happens in VMK. You also don't get the typing tickets in Pirates. The major difference is that in POTCO, you need to hit Enter to bring up the message bar (or you can click on the icon but that's much more time consuming).

Pirates also has additional options. With one click, you can chat so that just your crew/team members or guild members can read your text. This can be very helpful since you may not be in close proximity to each other when you want to say something (in additional to limiting who can read it - good when in a ship battle).

Again, the games are different. In VMK, you tend to have more situations where players are standing around and chat (like waiting on the dock between games or in guest rooms). In Pirates, players seem to chat when they meet up, are deciding what to do next, or when sailing. In both games, there are lots of opportunities to visit.

I am Adventurebry (Now AlphaPanchito) in VMK. You may have heard of me. I think that Pirates is better. I will still be playing VMK, but I may be playing VMK more. Only bcease I think there is more to do in VMK. But the reason I am saying Pirates is better is because I know it will be once they have fixed bgs, and have events and more items. Then I will be on Pirates more :mickeypiratezd4:.

Both about the same. I play both, and I equally play them.

In my opinion you can't really rate them against each other, because, they are two totaly different themes. I like playing vmk a lot, but I like playing POTCO a lot too. If they were both the same theme, then I would rate it, but since they are different I can't rate it lol.
