A Few Questions from a Pixie Pirate

Wasn't sure which category I needed :)
First How can someone form a Group like The Dolls, Partners in Crime etc. ? I think we Pixies may be interested in this & would like to be able to have Pixie as part of our name as it is our Guild also.
Another question I have or tips I really could use are for sailing while in battle. I am great at manning the cannons but not always sure what tactics work best if I am the Cap'n during battle. Maneuvering the waves, other ship etc. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

First you must establish a sub-forum here on the board for your guild. This can be achieved through this set of instructions/guidelines.. found HERE. Then I believe its just a matter of time, depending on the few designated POF graphics artists have opportunity to make it for your guild.

Well there are a number of tactics that different pirates use.
I assume you mean against NPC ships (Navy/EITC/Skeleton) and not SvS (other Pirates) (SvS is a whole new book on tactics, as its hard to guess what your opponent might do)

The easiest tactic I know of is referred to as crossing or rounding the T.
Most of the NPC ships seem to turn to the their left, so if your going to your right, towards the front of the ship... or more specifically to a point out in front of it, and keep turning as it does, it keeps you somewhat with your broadside turned to the enemy ships bow (front) where you can keep blasting, and they have limited attack capability because you are not along side of them for broadsides.

Another tactic involves using cannons, hitting the enemy ship with cannons while it is a ways out, and it will come towards you, where you can continue to cannon it as it comes in, and have ship turned for broadsides as it gets close enough (this helps level cannons and sailing).

Thank you guys you helped a lot! BTW I only plunder Navy/EITC ships of course! Unless I would see Captain Hook, as a good personal friend of Tinks I would be oblidged to plunder, blast & sink his ship :)
