Dear Beta Testers
 

Dear Beta tester,

As many of you know, we have been in Phase 1 of Beta testing for a few months and have received some great feedback and data to assist us as we continue the process of developing Pirates of the Caribbean Online. We really appreciate all the interest you've shown in the game and your willingness to be involved.

Our end goal is simple -- make a great game! In order to achieve this, we believe we need some additional development time and have decided to move the launch of the game to this Fall. This gives us some extra time to further enhance the game, respond to additional data we've collected during Beta testing, and incorporate more of the input we have received from you, our players.

As part of this process, we will conclude Phase 1 of Beta testing at noon (PDT) on July 16 and plan to resume Phase 2 of the Beta test with a new game build in September. Please note: As a Beta tester from Phase 1, you will automatically have access to Phase 2 -- there is no need to sign up again.

In the meantime, we have some exciting things coming your way -- including a brand-new Web site, community contests, more updates from the development team, and tons of updated game assets. You can continue to get all of this information and more at: piratesonline.com.

I'm just happy to hear from the development team. I was feeling a bit abandoned with no new beta stress tests.:icon_treasure_chest

:pirate7: Aye, but what are we to do until September? Guess I won't work on anymore quests! All those chores will finally get done!

Hopefully we will be able to finish a quest. Just to feel the victory. If we have to do it again when the game goes public, so be it. We will be ahead because we'll know how to do the quest.

I hope they delete all our pirates from phase 1. Clears out all the bugs and stuff.

that mesage is simple dev talk for.. thank you for all your help we have to many bugs so we are killling the game until we can fix it stay tune for Sept.. At least all our keys will work in the new game.. I hope they fix the pirate builds and everything.. I am looking forward to entorely new game.. maybe they will realse it as pirates 2 lol leading to a live game one day as Pirates 3 :-)

I get so little time on here as is...this is sad, July 16th only gives me one more weekend to play. :pirate7:

Well....good! I'd pretty much halted my game play due to 2 unfinishable quests, anyway. I can't wait to see the changes they make!!! This will be interesting, mateys....

Good and bad. Good because I'm also stuck on unfinished quests but bad because I could still get on and get some gold. Grr, I still play it.

Yes I think most of us thought that was coming on the realistic side of things.

I wonder if that is enough time? on the looks of things in game now, im not sure :laughks2:

I would say thats a distint possibilty, I remeber reading a message from half rebuild update where they said all the pirate avators had been reset.

I got this email too but I am not a Beta Tester, at least I was never told I was. Was this send out if you were just registered, because I am, but I have never been on beta.

That could be, maybe others will confim this, it maybe that yours was mistake.

There is another possibility, you did get a key, but someone in your family got to your key first, then removed the evidence.

Quick look around now, is there anyone still rubbing their hands from their deviousness. :laughks2:

I don't know what I'm going to do from July 16th till September who knows. From some of the past posts it seems that some of you think it's going to be september when the game releases but they are going to continue beta in september. Between now and then they are just going to be working on the bugs and updating all of the things that we as beta testers have been complaining about.
