Keep to the Code Mates!
May 15, 2009

http://a.disney.go.com/pirates/onlin...ty/lantern.jpg

Recently the EITC have been seen interrogating Pirates! We're glad to see that Pirates from all over the Caribbean are getting into the story -- some of you have even sided with the EITC as spies!

Role-playing is great, but in any situation, always be respectful to your fellow Pirates! Harassing or threatening Pirates that don't want to role-play is not only rude, but could get you removed from the game. If you want to confront other Pirates and role play as an agent of the EITC, take the action into PVP and respect Pirates that decline your offer. Read the Pirates Code of Conduct - avoid actions that could cause your account to be suspended!

Shipwrights to Offer New Ship Names May 15, 2009
http://a.disney.go.com/pirates/onlin...vider_line.gif
A few months back we gave Pirates a chance to submit your own ship names for addition to the Ship Naming Menu. You really stepped up to the challenge, responding with thousands of great names!
http://a.disney.go.com/pirates/onlin...hipwrights.jpg
We were looking for unique and creative names that worked with our current list of ship names. Names like Malicious Squirrel, Student Driver and Silent Buttdeadly -- offered us a good chuckle -- didn't get selected, for obvious reasons. Copyrighted names were also not acceptable.

We picked 38 names. These new names have been added to our latest game update and will be available very soon from any Shipwright.

Thanks to all the Pirates that submitted names, including the following Pirates, whose names were selected:

WHAT?! You mean we get BONUSES when we're in a crew?!

There sure are a LOT of "keep to the code" news entries.

The Commodore 05-15-2009 07:08 PM

Aye, makes you wonder what all's been going on.

Jack Sunskull 05-15-2009 07:17 PM

Yeah, it's pretty intresting that this is the second one in less than a month.

Wow who knew, lol. I like being crewed it helps, but they should do something a little extra for these events.

djr_8fan 05-15-2009 07:56 PM

OMG im in shock! Why didnt I think of that?!

OK, arent the codes more like guidlines?

JK. Does make you wonde what has been going on to get them to do the Keep the Code thing.

Your Gladiator 05-15-2009 08:44 PM

if they can do this THEY CAN GET NEW CONTENT!!!!!!! this is gettin real annoyin disney

Liz Fireburn 05-15-2009 08:50 PM

Oh joy bonuses!! How great that is for us mastered pirates....
and that fun lag these crew events bring!

great job disney

Erich Uchiha 05-15-2009 08:59 PM

Well, this is a bit disapointing my Cousin invited me to play WoW but i'm keeping my faith in Disney. c'mon Disney bring us something besides reminding us about crewing every month!

Stephen O'Malley 05-15-2009 09:31 PM

Everyone gathers crews on a regular basis, what makes this event so special? Double normal bonus with crews? I can get a 100% bonus now?

Oh you know, the occasional childish guilds out there that are so bored they feel the need to bother other guilds. Been happening a lot lately, guess its from the lack of content.

Guess it goes to shows you everything gets back to the big D. ;)

jason davy 05-15-2009 10:55 PM

This is odd... O_o

I saw Star twice, and I saw Maria Fireheart once. Hmm?

Jack Sunskull 05-16-2009 12:02 AM

What's up with the front page, it was looked good when I posted the first two announcements at noon and now it's screwed up.

League 05-16-2009 12:43 AM

Checking on the other thread, it seems Star is both a first name and a second name. I wonder how that will work out.

But will we be able to change the names of already owned ships? All but one of my pirates already has a full war fleet. Would be pretty low if the naming winners could't use the name they won with.
