Clothes costs?
 

Ya know when ye start the game off you get pirate trash for clothes.

But then again a plain shrit costs 1000 coins

Dont you think thats a little too much I mean it would take you all the way to level 14 to get that?

Now level 40's with too much gold isnt really what im aiming at here.

Well, it certainly makes you consider what's more important to you - new clothes or a new ship. ;)

Besides, the gold isn't too hard to get, it all depends on what you do as a pirate. My level 16 has about 26,000 gold so far. :)

What are you saying? It takes you till level 14 to earn 1000 gold? First off, you can stow away on a war gally and earn 1000 in one run. Just go to a busy server on the weekend and join public ships. You can do nothing and make lots of money off the hard work of others. Then you can buy all the clothing you want. BTW that's the reason I NEVER open my ship to public use. All you get are blood sucking leaches but if you want gold fast for doing nothing feel free.

Captain GreenGene's right even the mice get paid.

Only time those free loaders don't get paid is if they are afk but that don't happen for at least 5 minutes. (I never timed it) To say it this way the cargo is full before they go afk. If you don't believe what I am saying board a public ship and type this into your chat log using the slash as shown.

Overall if I open my ship up to public and that is the once that happen to board I don't care because I don't sail for gold anyways. I sail for ships sunk count and when they board I keep getting them mad at me for not going in to port so they can get their gold. Sometimes I even get those ones that are there just to level and I get good laughs out of them when that happens. It even gives me a good laugh as to eventually they just leave and go to another ship. When I sail for ship count I often go out and sink 50 plus ships at a go sometimes well over 100 and once over 200 and they are not all those little ones I sink everything I see.

but to answer your question getting to 1000 gold shouldn't be that difficult. Plunder runs, as previously stated, should net you quick gold.

I don't even worry about my pirates clothing until i have purchased my level 5 & 10 weapons and have bought a frigate. To me those are far more importand purchases. once i have those i start to play dress up. ;)

right. try to make sure your starting clothes fit your idea of GOOD. as long as i dress up nicely at first i'm good for at least 15 levels. but then again, im a boy, if ur a girl your opinion might change completely

I just did the clothing quests and earned clothes that way.

When I made my new pirate, she had some "tough times" at first (gold wise).. but after a couple of plunder runs it adds up. She got her first war (galleon) around 20 something and about half way to a war frigate now... So she's made quite a bit of gold already.. Things don't come cheap, even for us pirate ;) Its just a matter of much time your willing to put in to get it.

Though I think I'm a "Pirate Of Style" you could never tell that until I reach the late 20's - I stash every Gold Piece for Ships until I have the ones I want - then I celebrate by Stylin'! :D

I am a Pirate that absolutley ALWAYS has to be in style! Hahah, I change and but new clothes like 367823 time everyday! I go through money VERY fast! And not to mention I have all three war ships...
I looovvee my gold!
And i always feel guilty when I buy something, then sell it and buy something else, 2 mintutes later.
But yes,
I will agree things are a bit expensive, but why should they be cheap, and easy to get. Cause then there would be no sense of accomplishment when you get what you saved up for! You just gotta work for your gold. It will pay off in the end. :)
