Everyone tell james daggerpaine goodbye

MacIronhawk 05-02-2009 12:18 AM

Then don't use a faulty account.

What did you do to make it faulty?

Andrew 05-02-2009 12:18 AM

There is not a way to "transfer" or "switch" accounts

What was actually wrong with this "faulty" account?

The Count 05-02-2009 12:22 AM

Sorry for not making this clear earlier but the credit card number got switched and they couldnt send in the money because of that so they deleted my unlimted acess

Sarah 05-02-2009 12:22 AM

That's not making much sense. Are you saying that you are paying with a different credit card and therefore your original account was closed? NO, don't buy that. Call the billing department.

Number is here:

The Count 05-02-2009 12:26 AM

Im saying the bank changed the credit card number

Sven Osymthe 05-02-2009 12:27 AM

If your credit card information changes, they will switch you back to basic, not delete your account. By going to "Manage Account" and changing it, that might be whats needed. They wouldn't delete your account over that.

The Count 05-02-2009 12:28 AM

(Man i got reword things correctly)

I tried that earlier but ill try it again

Well the kind lady told me I have to start all over again.

Goodbye James daggerpaine:sadmh9:

I must concur with Sarah.

Since I have had this happen before, they definately do NOT make you start over again. You simply change/update the payment information on the account, once your payment clears with new payment information, your account is back entirely intact. Not only do they NOT make you start over again, but when it happened to me, they gave me a 'first' month for 4.95 again!!!!

You can update your payment information by logging into your account on the official website, but I personally called myself not knowing why my account went basic.

I absolutely know this works because I originally paid with a visa gift card, and switched to my normal creditcard... DEFINATELY different numbers.. different banks.. all of the above.. the only thing that was not different? My account, still intact with all my original pirates.

Now if your account has bogus information on it that they could not confirm who you are, etc... then yes.. that might happen.. moral of that story? Dont use bogus information.

The Count 05-02-2009 01:45 AM

Ill try again tommarow

Will Badbreaker 05-02-2009 01:45 AM

I had to update the expiration date on my card and had no problem doing so. It doesn't matter if your bank changed the number (which is in itself a very odd thing to have done), you have a chance to input new information without starting a new account.
So something else was messed up it sounds like.

Ghostcannon 05-02-2009 02:31 AM

Sorry to hear that The Count, but follow OFxZeppers' experience. Hope you get that account back...and no question about it, you should get it back..tell them that you already paid for those pirates to be lvl 40 lol. Good luck Mate!

Commodore Larence 05-06-2009 03:29 AM

I have had this happen I think 2 times. All you have to do is go to your account and update the billing information with the new card's number. All they do is put your account back to basic access when you fail to pay, heck I even failed to pay for nearly an entire month because the bank cancelled the card I was using due to their own security leaks... Disney still didn't cancel my unlimted access. I gave them a call and they told me the probelm was their fault for not going ahead and canceling my account, and I got a month of POTCO for free lol... Then they started charging my new card, and as Zeppers said earlier, I got the first month on the new card for $4.95. Just give them a call, tell them what happend and you can get your unlimited access back it isn't that hard.

The only thing I could think of that might have happend is you have gave them bogus information, then that is on you.... I just hope that isn't the case.

They won't delete your account because your bank switched your credit card number.

Darthdavy 05-07-2009 02:49 AM

That's why I use the Game passes... Using your Credit Card is way too complicated.
