Win at Poker
 

Help.......Im on the recruit Hendry Cutts level with me pirate Blackbeard (lvl 15) and I need help with how to play Poker. I have no idea how to play Tortuga hold em, only the traditional version. I really wanna level up and the best way is to do the story quests. The worst part is........I have to do two more quests involving Poker which are Win again at Poker and Win Yet again at Poker. Can someone pleeeeeeeease help me?!:sadmh9:

I also had two quests where I had to win 150 gold, and I just randomly pressed the buttons. After a while I figured a bit what I was doing.

Actually, winning the required amounts for poker isnt that difficult, and you dont usually have to know alot about poker. Heres my newest method (although I know how to play poker).

Go to Padres Del Fuego, you make more faster

This method is based on one apparent fact in the game. The AI pirates seem to 'fold' almost everytime on the first 1-2 hands after you sit down at the table.

So...

1. Sit down at table, wait to be dealt a hand.
2. Raise on first round, 9/10 times all the AI will fold and you get free gold towards your quest.
3. If an AI stays in, raise again, and again they almost always fold donating free gold towards your quest.
4. Once you play 2 hands, stand up from the table, and sit back down again reseting the table, and you have a couple hands to repeat the above process until youve won enough for your quest.

The AI players always seem to fold on those first two rounds when you show any sign of having a decent hand (ie raise). Occasionally they may get a good hand and they might stick with it, but not very often at all. Of course if you have cheat cards, they can be used to help if you find yourself playing your hand against the AI (ie They dont fold).

I go to Cuba to finish a game fast. Higher bets there, so learn the basics first.

The highest bets are in Padres del Fuego, and they are double of Cuba's bets. I suggest you only go to PDF if you got a lot of gold on hand.

You also want to learn the basics at Tortuga or Port Royal, then move up to Cuba or PDF. You don't want to start off losing a lot of gold cluelessly do you?
