Cutlass or Voodoo Doll?
 

If you only had the cutlass and the voodoo doll which one would you use?

I say cutlass.. even though the voodoo doll has many good skills, I find the cutlass to be the most fun. Plus the cutlass has traditionally been known as the pirate's weapon (aside from his pistol).

Don't matter to me normally, voodoo is much more useful early on when a well-placed hit from an enemy can do you in... best to attune and run.

But, can't stand folks who fall back on the doll in PVP

Although the cutlass was one of the traditional Pirate weapons....it's not going to help you kill one of the big bosses when your health is RED. Life Drain ROCKS!

I prefer voodoo life drain and heal are wonderful

I'm a big cutlass fan. It was the first thing I mastered and that was WAAAAAAY back when I was a wee pirate. So for the longest time I'd been eschewing the cutlass for other weapons to get to mastery. However, now that I've fully mastered, I've found myself going back to the old trusty cutlass. I will agree that if I'm getting hammered a bit too hard I will tend to whip out the doll and life drain, but honestly, that's just so I don't have to use a tonic.

Although the doll will heal yerself and others, in a stand-up fight I'll pick the cutlass. Now for crowds, if the cutlass just won't hack it (pun intended) I'll go to staff.

Definitely doll. With doll I can heal myself, heal my friends, and put a hurtin' on my enemies. ;)

Me im a cutlass fun voodoo is kinda unfair for the enemy and i like a fair fight so cutlass is my best choice.

That's why I like it. I just finished the part in the Black Pearl quest where you have to kill 9 lv12+ pirates. It was so much easier than when I tried using a cutlass.

Cutlass for me.
To me, it seems like the most powerful weapon when the right skill points are applied. I don't mind the doll, it's fun when playing inside jokes with guildmates. LOL...but for opposition...nope. It's just not that powerful to me. I may like Life Drain but I LOVE Bladestorm. =)
Also, I just hate when people use dolls in PvP. It just gives then an unfair advantage, as opposed to the cutlass.

Cutlass the original pirate weapon, fully mastered, it can kill anything. :degen:

I think voodoo is just weird for any pirate unless they want to be like Tia Dalma's relative/student.
From my opinion , Voodoo is strange, walking around with a doll or staff, oh lets have a tea party, or be Harry Potter.

I'm not the kind of wee man to be caught dead using a doll unless it builds the image of me sensitive side. Either that, or less it builds the vivacity of me live side.

My manliness being established, I can't decide. I'd probably prefer the Doll, for having a use outside of combat (and I don't mean HP, for that is intertwined there as well).
