New Padres Del Fuego and Other Updates -- Now Live! April 08, 2009

Join other Pirates right now as they explore the entirely NEW Padres Del Fuego! The island was redesigned to address performance issues many of our players were having. In addition to the island redesign, we also added other improvements:

The Reputation Meter now has progress indicators so you can tell how much more experience you need to gain before you level up.

Completed Quests now display your reward after completion, no more wondering what you received or if you properly completed the Quest.
Plus, the ESC key will now bring up a menu to exit the game. Click here for a list of all the improvements.

What do you think of the new Padres and the other updates? Have you had a chance to tour the new town? Tell us what you think! As with any new update, there may be bugs or issues. If you see any problems, report them to us. We will work quickly to fix these issues.

Are the seas around PDF still thick with EITC ships?

They wernt crowded on test, So I believe they arnt on live.

Yay, finally something to do tonight.

Enemies are fiesty...lol Just checked it out. Was attacked by 4 navy dudes at same time in fort. And the beach is no picnic..
BTW is anyone else experiencing the earthquake screen? Both my pirate and a friend online have both had it happen several times...

The EITC ships are no longer circling the new PDF.

They actually left this on Test a lot longer than I thought they would. There are still quite a few bugs, but over all it is a pretty good build. The first few versions were pretty rough.

It was released a bit earlier than I expected....but hey nothing is ever released bug free. The new Padres will take some getting used to.

Once again the developers of POTCO have failed to fix bugs before releasing this update. They have done this since the beginning of the game and I can bet money they won't stop using this method of development.

If these bugs keep getting stacked on each other the devs are going to have to spend time fixing them instead of adding content.

This is not dedication, it's releasing redone islands when they don't need to be redone. What's the use of redoing these islands? PDF looks ugly now and should only be a little spit of land since it's area is so small now. Where's the wide open spaces I'm craving for? Dead.

Well personally I love the new Padres. I think its cool that it has that huge lava flow and the island shakes like it going to erupt again or something. Thumbs up from me!

AND it turns out that the Ratskellar now has KARAOKE! No really! The Krewe was there last night singing 80's hits!

Karaoke sounds great if I can find my way. Overall it's a nice up grade, the earthquake is cool. I could be wrong but they could have made the back beach easier to get to instead of still going through El Sudoron.

I will probably only visit when quests need to be done.

Okay mates--the karaoke thing was a joke. We went to the 'Skellar, I stood on a barstool, and I belted out 80's songs.
