Question about Boss Battle
 

I'm sure I've seen this addressed before but I can't find the thread. Just wondering...I completed a BB tonight, I was the driver/steerer and everything. We got through in record time and with only 4 people. Problem is, I thought Leadership (on your sailing skills) came through after completing a BB. But I don't have it. *confused!* Can someone tell me if I'm wrong, or if I have to go track down Jack Sparrow :jack1: (who I cannot seem to find anyways) or what? Any help is hugely appreciated!

first off, was it your BB? what I mean is was it you quest? if so you should get the message of complete. and the light shine should go to the Pub with Gibbs in it. Can't remember the name. If no message appears then you must do it again. It happens.

You must have completed the Black Pearl quest first, then do the boss battle. (it will give you option in your journal to launch the boss battle for yourself or your crew) Then you can get leadership skill by beating the boss battle, and visiting Jack Sparrow in the Faithful bride on tortuga.

It has been noted that sometimes it doesnt 'take' and you may have to repeat/beat the boss battle again before getting credit for finishing it.

Without a lot of circular talk, Leadership is given to you by Jack Sparrow. After finishing the BB, (make sure you got credit for it, a lot of times you don't on your first try) Your journal should tell you to visit Jack, and he gives you the Leadership skill.

Be sure to initiate the crew. It does not matter if you are sailing or not. So long as you make it all the way through to sinking the Goliath. I have seen cases (as mentioned) where Pirates do not get credit and have to do it again.

Yeah, I initiated it and everything. Just apparently I don't get the credit for it. No shiny ray of light or anything. Still tells me in my journal that I'm stuck at 99%. Gah, that's just not right...it was the one quest I was just saving for a rainy day, so to speak. Guess it will be saved for yet another rainy day. LOL.

You can't start it via Lookout--you have to actually start it from your quest log for it to count.
