Cannons.. Crew or Solo??
I have a little over 1 level left before I master me cannon and my entire pirate:SkullBullet1:... Now it may be me looking forward to being fully mastered and simply being impatient.. but it feels like its taking forever:xxxk0:!!
So what I was wondering is.. in your opinion, do you feel leveling cannon goes faster with a crew:7c810c6517: or solo:pirate41:? **Crew does give bonus but you don't always go after high ships and crew mates sometimes outdo you with the high damage cannons (Roundshot vs. fury)** **Solo you get a lot of rep and control what ships you go after.. but no crew bonus and it seems endless:sadmh9:** <----this has been what I've currently been doing...** Looking forward to hearing your opinions!! |
If you have a good Captain at the helm.....you don't need more than the two of you. I typically won't fire broadsides unless absolutely necessary so the reps go to the crew member working on cannons. If you take out your War Frigate and use the front mounted cannons it is easier to keep a distance from the high level War Ships as the Captain backs up while you fire.

One best friend
I would take one best friend along. Let them sail the ship while you cannon. Crew them for bonus and ask them not to fire broadsides unless needed. Then you can get all your reps and not be alone. That why Captains have a first mate! |
Cannon was the last thing I mastered, and yes, it really did take forever. ;) But I agree with aka, just you and a good captain (who will let you have most/all of the rep) should do nicely. A lot of times, others on cannon don't seem to get that if they kill the ship with fury, you will get hardly any rep.
