Wasps In King's Run
 

Yesterday, me second pirate was trying to fulfill a quest for dire Wasps. The new hints atop the page said King's Run is the closest place to find the wasps. So, me pirate walked throught the woods to obtain said wasps. But there was a definite problem. Most of the wasps were glitched into the side of the hill. If ya tried to get to them from above...your pirate got stuck. And I was not alone. There were other pirates there experiencing the same problem. The only way to get unstuck was to tp out of the woods and start again. But the wasps stayed glitched, ceptin for one lonely wasp that kept hiding in the tree below and surfaced every now and then. Me pirate killed said wasp 18 times to fulfill her quest. After, I reported the problem to Disney. Waiting for that one wasp to respawn kept this pirate flipping coins to wile away the time...lol :psmiley27:

Did your targeting reticule turn red when using a ranged weapon like the pistol or dagger? As long as that's red, you should be able to hit it and maybe draw it out of the hill.

I did notice a strange lack of wasps in King's Run the other night. I actually found one after "falling into" the ground there. I fell off the cliff where the wasps hang out and fell through the ground. The wasp sure did find me though. I was able to get out of it by running towards certain corners of the terrain though.

No I couldn't target them although I tried several times. They showed on my compass but couldn't target them.

I found the same type issue....the wasp would not come out of the rock. It was there as I could shoot it and kill it, but would not come out even after respawning. Report....report....report.....

Well then that's wack. From your description of trying to hit them from above, it sounds like we're talking about the same wasps maybe. The small cliff straight across from the alligator pond right??

Aye, mate...And I couldn't target them from either on the cliffs or down on the ground looking up at the hill

Crazy bugs. The glitch, I mean. Well the wasps are bugs too. Crazy bug bugs.

I was dealing with this last night too, I was lucky to find one that popped out of the hill however. My suggestion, whenever you need dire wasps, just sail to rumrunners, or driftwood, or even perdida if you really want to. It saves you the headache of trying to get the glitched ones.

And also, theres a hidden wasp in kings run way off the the right of the hill. Theres usually a gravedigger and a bandit there off to the side. Best way I can explain where it is, is where the old dig spot for the diamond on perdida used to be. In that area, you should see it there if you look for it.

You didn't mention if you tried switching servers. A problem on one server isn't always on another. You might have tried that next time.
I agree with anndreeuhh that rumrunners or the others are better for dire wasps.

Have done that as well reporting a problem as glitched wasps

Makes perfect sense to me, thats what the report bugs is there for.

Everyone should play the game the way they want, all ideas are good !!

Test server or not mates, if ye see a bug or glitch that hampers game play or could cause confusion to our newer or younger players, please report it. It's an easy thing to do and hopefully will make a difference in the long run for POTCO.

Don't even mention report, after like 6 reports on one subject today, and send this and that files, after 6 pm and closed, = It would be best if you discuss that in live chat, haha.

If wasps can cheat then I call them fair game, been doing several characters in a number of these quests for wasps.

Down to the side below, one wasps comes and heads into this area, while all others spawn above..

Where this one heads to the wall can be glitched and go inside where they are, and ends the problem of them in there after you kill them usually once.
