Can't Get Parental Controls Set Up Right

For some reason I can't get the parental controls for POTCO set up right. I've created a child account (under 13)... linked it to an adult account (Logged into adult account and linked child account to it) and set it to limited true friends, unlimited true friends, and open chat, as well as I've disallowed chat entirely (just to test). Nothing works. . . It just always stays on open chat and whenever I log into the child account anyone is able to hear what I say and I can hear everyone else.

When I log into the child account on the site I am restricted from changing the parental settings and when I go into the adult account I can change the settings (for both the adult and child account, of course).

Does anyone have any ideas for what might be going on?
Thanks, Darrious!

Plus chatters can hear everything except the Italic chat.

Is there a way to make it to where any child account can hear nothing but true friends (with a true friend code of course) and they can't chat with/hear other players online?

They just changed over the chat system, so not real familiar with exactly what everything does now. If you have two accounts to see you should be able to tell if any chat such as italics you say to the controlled account should just come through as arr and such. You can test it with saying a number or something.

There never has been a way to limit chat to only certain friends and such. All local chat by any player will be heard for example, just depends on how many arr's you get.

Would recommend taking people as friends seriously, or you will end up with all sorts of people teleporting to ya etc.

Sounds like it is working about how it does do so.

Well I have it to a point where when you chat locally, crew, friend, guild, and whisper. All you can say is the garr, arrr, and all that jazz... But I would like the child account to talk with True Friends using a code that can be sent through email/in real life, and if that happens it would be an open chat system because they are True Friends. Is there anyway that I can I do that?
I can't even find a True Friends code generator anywhere... In or out of the game on POTCO website.

I do not think there is a way to stop open "plus" chat. POTCO somewhat targets a higher age range than say.. toontown. They have always had the open chat, but filtered. One of the things I found enjoyable about Toontown after having played potco.. sorta a blissful silence.. except from friends :)

True Friends codes are generated on the DxD sites, from either the main DxD page or the Pirates Online DxD page. You can get to the Pirates DxD from the Pirates Online home page. Click on the "Community" button then on the "Players Page" button. Once on the page log into your account, usually the same user name and password you use to log in to the game. You will most likely have to log in on the child account to make a code for that account, not sure though. I always have trouble logging in on the DxD page so I log in on the Pirates Online page first.

Once logged in, click on the "Chat" icon above the backpack. Click on the "Friends" button then click on the "Open Friends Maker" button. Now you can create or redeem True Friends codes.

Good luck mate, hopes that helps you out some.

Thank you so much. It didn't work on the child account, but when I logged into the parent account, it worked just fine. Thank you so much for all of your help!
