Ask any Pirate, you don't go around showing your private effects to just anyone - and by private effects, we mean personal information. For example: Your real name, age, phone number, or account information - such as your Account ID (your log in information) or password.

No matter how well you know someone you should NEVER share your personal information with them under any circumstance. Pirates Online will never ask you for this information via e-mail, or in-game and you should never share your online account or account information with another player or post your information online.

Remember, you're responsible for your account and activity while your account is online. So if you play Pirates Online on a public computer (like a school or library) make sure when you're done playing to log completely out of the game and your account!

Play it safe, and protect your most valuable asset - your personal information.

My Port Royal tour ended pretty abruptly when the GM disappeared and never returned. Are the tours worth going to? I don't want to waste my time if they are pointless but I don't want to miss it if it's worthwhile. ;)

They tell some storys, might be some races for fun.
Its worth going to.

The PR tour was cool....except for the one Pirate that wouldn't stop dropping Wither when we all (including GM) told him to stop. Cool stories and some hints of things to come.

Worth going to? In my opinion...... Nah way too much lag, too many obnoxious people, too many silly questions asked, not enough important ones answered.

Swashbucker II tours are more fun and less laggy. ;)

Whooo! Another few days they could work to improve the game, but would rather instead make a tour of pointless wonders. The GM's I'm sorry, aren't my favorite friends, the last time I seen them, they said new weapons were coming after the level 5 came out. This infuriated me, and I quit, I must also say, I think I may resign from Pirates Online.

The reason being, Pirates Online was always a place for me to be me, and I enjoyed every moment of Pirates Online. The problem is, Pirates online became, New Islands, GM Funhouse, and Pointless updates Online. That's a little hard for me to fit into my address bar, so I think I'll be saying good-bye to all of this. Because we all know after Padres is made, the Carribbean that I loved, will be officially gone.

When i went to PR tours it was less than maybe 2 minutes long.. No real information given =( I dont know if i went at a different time if would have been better.. by the tour i got was by no mean helpful.

I think they are very worth going to, cool role-playing stories, and the GMs are awesome story tellers :)

I think it's nice, if nothing else, they're doing something. I like the gm's, well, some of them. It's also fun to have a change in scenery.

All the GMs that I have met have been really nice and helpful. I agree we need more practical updates, but I am glad the GMs make in-game appearances from time to time.

Well, Rose Winsome is the only GM that I like, one Davy guy really drove my nerves, I asked him one question the whole time, about what he knew about ship customization. All he did was answer other questions, but when I asked him, could you please answer my question, he just said I cannot answer that question. Ah, that be why I never trust any GM.

Please read the instructions :) Almost no GM will be answering questions - will be only performing tours from their script, and may give a few clues on the way...

Pirates tying to ask tons of questions are wasting their time - interrupting the presentation, and make it hard for everyone else to follow the story they are telling...

akamystic 03-04-2009 08:40 PM

Aye.....would be quite unfortunate for someone to cause issues by using your Pirate.......
