Get the BOOT lately?

Ok, after the updated PR there was an increase in the booting, the game logging you off. You know, losing connection to the server. After the new Tortuga, OMG, it is worse. Im so sick of it. Happens usually 5 times or so a day to me! AHHHH!

I've sent feedback severl times from the game. (cool new feature btw) And now, I'm using my thought bubble. The one that stays in place. Doing it to get attention and be funny, lol. Maybe the right person will see it, or the message will spread.

Ok, so here is what i've been typing:

PIRATES ON STRIKE! TIRED OF THE BOOT!

LOL. It helps to vent sometimes.

Haha. Yeah, I do all sorts of crazy stuff to vent. ;) As for getting the boot, it was terrible for me after the Port Royal updates, but it really hasn't been bad since the Tortuga updates. The only time I really get the boot is when I teleport on or off of a privateering ship. Even then, it's not really the boot, it's more of the infinite loading screen. But I hope they get all this sorted out for you, I'm sure there are lots of other players with the same issues.

Mine has not been all that bad.....but has improved since Tortuga roll out.

Mine used to be much much worse. Whenever I teleported to a ship 9 times out of 10 it would never load.

Now it rarely happens to me. The good thing about being booted in Pirates Online (if there is a good this) that it saves everything you did. In most games it only saves when you log off and not when you are disconnected.

Agh, not true, and as I also was booted if ever in on a ship and crew, time and time again booted at sea, with a full cargo with forced solo. Never got all the cargo after every few minutes they would boot you from sea, plus you got to pay for damage as well. That all started back when svs came out.

PR and Tortuga, a few areas of lag improvement, whatever they are working on now in graphics testing, a huge step in the wrong direction. Hope that gets dumped and straighten out.

I haven't noticed any extra booting with the updates. I very rarely experience booting. I'm wondering if there is some problem with your connection not relating to the new pirates in some manner, I don't know.

James 03-03-2009 12:52 AM

Wow, you're right. I got booted twice today.

Kate Callecastle 03-03-2009 01:01 AM

yes know about the boot can be really annoying

Ahhh could be, but I have gotton the boot a few times since the update. Not lately tho! Seems all has been much better today, even the compass

1st I'd like to say kate callecastle I LOVE your icon. Jack Sparrow....my bad....Captain Jack is sooo sexy! and that scene is the sexiest of them all lol. now back to the topic. YES the booting has been horrible for me since the new tortuga!!! Today and yesterday I've been booted at the LEAST 3 times. the last time was about an hour ago I WAS planning on leveling my nades so I just got to Kingshead and then it said I was disconnected. I got irritated so I said thats enough pirates for one night. Which btw I was only logged onto the game for not even 15 minutes when it kicked me off. And when I played earlier today it had kicked me off a couple more times. Its getting pretty annoying

Das Boot!

For me it's not so much the booting off it's the log in details and password not being recognised afterwards!!! This can goes on for at least 10 minutes or so and then I am able to log in as normal again. Weird??

djr_8fan 03-04-2009 09:43 PM

I've had that problem too. After trying to log in a few times, I just exited the log in screen and relaunched POTCO. Then it worked for me. I usually only give it 2 or 3 times before I exit the log in screen.
