Avatar Problems

I noticed that many many players have avatars that are 100 x 100 pixels, and it looks awesome.

However, no matter what I try, my avatar gets squeezed down to 65 x 65 pixels making it virtually unreadable. I am well under the 24.4 KB file size limit, and I have tried JPG GIF and PNG formats, but nothing works. I even tried to use somone elses 100 x 100 avatar (just for a moment to see if it would work) and it STILL squeezed it down to 65 x 65 for me, but not for them --the very same graphic that another member has at 100 x 100.

I have tried both hosting it remotely, and uploading it to the server, but it ends up 65 x 65 no matter what I do.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get my avatar to the 100 x 100 size like many other members have? It looks so good at that size, and I would love to have mine at that size.

Here is the graphic in the original size:

The same thing happens to me at VMK Forums and I have never understoood why.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks!

When we first opened POF to the public, avatar size was set to the default of 100x100. Since then, we have adjusted the max size to 65x65 just like the rest of Nick's forums. This is why you are unable to add an avatar of 100x100. Those that have them, will loose them if they ever try to change avatars. Eventually, almost everyone will be using the 65x65 size avatars.

Ahh thank you for explaining that Batleth. :)

I tried every way I could think of to "fix" my problem, and wasn't sure if it was a bug or not.

It's good to know that it wasn't personal...lol

Thanks for the info and for your assistance in my name change. :)
