Neverending Load Screen

Sometimes I am boarding a ship or teleporting and never arrive.

Seems pretty random.

'Esc' or 'M' used to bring me back, but no longer work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Only suggestion I have is to report this to disney. May be an issue with your graphics card, or just a problem on the POCO end.

Good luck.

It's a known issue....report anyway. I've had this happen on occasion.

I have the same problem and thought it was me...

I usually just have to end program and restart the game...

I still have this same problem sometimes. It happens mostly on the kingshead dock, but also on port royal and tortuga. Sometimes, i can even here all the action in the background. I take out weapons, listening for the noise, and they work too! I found the only way to get out of this, is to reboot. Don't try waiting. It wastes time, and you'll eventually crash anyways.

This is always annoying when it happens to me.

if it gets to be TOO unbearable, I just do ALT+F4 , which just closes the game.

Really nothing you can do to stop it, except, stop the whole game all together.

The other day I got stuck when boarding a public ship. I didn't board, but ended up hovering over the top of one of the pubs in Port Royal, sans roof. The pub was floating in blackness and I could seen down into it. Never had that happen.

Didn't think to take a screenie.

Aye, I too have had this problem when trying to board a public ship or when clicking on the fleeting notice that a crew member is launching their ship. I avoid that case by clicking on the crewmembers name and then clicking "go to". At any rate when I reported this a number of times, Disney blamed it on MY graphic card. Does not happen all the time though, but when it does I have to close the game and then log back on. Used to do the thing where I could hear the battles going on and hear the click of my weapons when openiing them but that does not seem to happen anymore. Also if you have nothing better to do and just watch the screen, when the ship you are on (but can't see) docks it then switches to the "booty" screen and all is ok from then on. You also get your share of the plunder for doing nothing. If the ship sinks you wind up in jail along with everyone else! Glad to hear it isn't only happening to me!

If you are in a shop and one of your crew boards their ship (giving you the Board Button) and you click it while in the shop - you will remain at the load screen until they doc.

The issue is that when you are in a shop - the shop itself is considered not part of "the island" which the ship is launching from but its "own world" (glitchers breaking through shop walls will find shops floating in space without nothing around them - they are actually seperate locations which you "teleport" to when you walk through the doors).

When you use the button in the shop - because it doesn't connect which island you are boarding from it put you in "suspension" until the ship is docked and it can figure out which island you should be on - which of course your stuck at the load screen the entire time...

and now you know the rest of the story :D

yes, its coz you were inside a building and not outside and you are stuck on loading screen. that how they have fixed this is they made you tp instead of just board

This used to happen to me and I hated it. It doesn't happen to me anymore though.

I dont think it happens much at all anymore, this is a real old thread..

I don't look at dates I just randomly post in threads...

Usually, I just relog my game. Sometimes, I wait 'til they port. That usually loads my game again.
