Disney Tech Support Line...SHOCKED!
I have heard a great deal of people down Disney's tech support in the passed, and I have only dealt with their online tech support (and i know it stinks), but today I had to give them a call about some billing problems I had experienced. The card that my account was on had been frozen by the bank because the bank had leaked some account information, so for safety about 100+ people at the bank had to create new accounts. Now I had been behind payments on my monthly account for a month, but Disney had not cancelled my unlimited access. I got I think my 3rd email today from them, and figured it was time to straighten the account out. I called the Disney Pirate's Hotline number, and was greeted by the most helpful lady. I figured I would be charged for the previous month that could not be charged, but the lady there said it was more or less their fault they had not cancelled my unlimited access, and I would not be charged for it. She then said that she would restart my pirates account, in other words make it as if I had never been unlimited access, but save all of my pirates and their previous information. I went tonight to enter my new account information, and was billed as if I was never a member at all, and got the intro $4.95 first month, as well as another email informing me I would be receiving another pirate kit. I was so shocked at this, the lady on the phone was more than helpful... I was all ready to pay $20 right up front, but no. She also was so ready to help me with any technical problems I might be having with the game, I had to make her let me get off the phone... If you are having game issues, I would definately just skip the emails and online chat and just call them up. I am the most critical person in the world of pretty much every thing lol.... I am just so shocked right now at the ammount of help, and personal attention I received from Disney.
