Maintenance!

We are currently performing maintenance on our Oceans (servers). To do this we must reduce the number of Oceans available. The Oceans will return when maintenance is completed. - The Crew of Pirates Online

Pretty fantastic that they didn't force downtime - instead only did half the servers at a time. WTG POTCO, thank you!

During updates all the servers go down so they're probably working on maintaining the broke servers.

No, It doesnt work that way, when you log in there either is or isnt an update. after you log in THEN you can choose the server.

I see this as a potential upgrade (?) - maybe they are moving / upgrading servers (which would mean only those being upgraded at the moment need to be offline - not all servers - and just keep rotating).

This could turn out to be another improvement in the wish list for improving server lag / issues... one can hope :D

ok lol, I know why are you telling me same thing what i was saying lol I said someone must of broke the servers

Don't believe it is a game update. Probably routine maintenance, or possibly an upgrade, to the server puters. A lot o people made a big todo, Self included, the last time they took a bunch of servers off line for about a week and din't tell anyone why. It appeared that they were doing a reduction in service due to lack of game play. SO, this time, they are telling us that they are removing them, and that they will be back.

Probably replacing the Commodore 64 servers with Amiga's or Apple II's. That will undoubtedly fix all of our LAG issues! Heck, might as well replace the 300 Baud modems with some 1200's....smmmmmoookkkiiinnn FAST.......lol.

All I can say is, I only broke things yesterday, not today.

Test just went down twice now.
