New Island
 

I was just thinking about new islands added to the game and I came up with the following idea.


Isla Murcielagos (Translation: Bat's Island)- This Island will have a cave exactly like Isla Perdida, but instead of Wasps, this one will have Bats (cave, vampire) with lvl ranging between 25-35, ofcourse new quests must be added too.

What do you think? If you think of another island, post it in here with a description.

I think it should be something entirely different from anything we currently have. Repetitive themes get old after a while. We need something like "Krakens Cove" .....a cave filled with pot holes...water dripping from ceiling....areas with water up to your knees filled with creatures of some sort.......perhaps a pitch black area that requires a torch......just ideas.....but we need something FRESH IMO.

Personally I hate the bats in the game and would run in fear from a bat the size of a wasp. LOL. I suddenly have a picture of the giant spider in the Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets Movie. EWW.

Kraken Cove sound cool though. I'll just be glad when the Kraken starts to terrorize us.

I'd like a place where a bunch of undead grenadiers are clustered. 'd be nice.

Definitely a new island! With new enemies. If they go off the bat idea, they should have not just Cave Bats and Vampire Bats but also a higher lv bat type. I don't know what they would be called... Oh and teleportation to Kingshead and some cutlass, gun, and ship stores there would be cool. Make it like a Port Royal or Tortuga with just Navy/EITC.

I posted this in another thread but how about isla spidrata. it would be the only Island with giant spiders.

How about more of the islands that were in the movies? more fitting.

Singapore, Pirates Cove, Isla Muerta... Doesn't do the game any good in my opinion to completely veer off what makes it popular, the movie series/storyline.

I like your ideas OfxZeppers, but Singapore is a little off. I know the games geography is horrible compared to real life, but all these islands are real islands in the carribean. Singapore is a bit far off... :william:

Off Topic- I think it would be awesome to add the "Singapore" class of ships, like the Singaporean War Sloop/ Galleon/ Frigate. They'd look so awesome :piratetongueor4:.

Well the movie series has Singapore in it, as well as pirates from Singapore, and Jack mentions it repeatedly in his movie dialogue :) Sooo... yeah geographically maybe, but then again... where are those spanish and french islands on the Caribbean map?

Is it in the POTCO movies?

As far as I know, the French and Spanish islands were not, but their "pirate lords" were, which appeared to be somewhat fuedal between themselves.. not a bad choice for SvS islands.

HAHA, I had to do a lot of research on that one LOL.

As us history nuts know, during the time period the movie placed, which is the "golden age of piracy", there were major conflicts over the Caribbean Islands between the English, French, Dutch, and Spanish. I did some research, and the French island is made up, but Isla De La Avaricia was an actual Island near Spain and there was one in the Caribbean as well. Translated, Isla De La Avaricia, means "Island of the Avarice". Avarice technically was derived from latin and Spanish, meaning "crave", or "desire". It also happened to be a common Spanish name back then. The name of the island was probably changed in time as the French, Spanish, Dutch, and English continued to fight for more land. From my guess, the island was probably named after some wealthy landlord or a noble of some sort. So yeah, French Island was non-existent, the Spanish Island however was real at some point in time. After this, I checked the names of all the islands in the game to be sure they're real, and All are real except Padres Del Feugo*, and the French Island of course.


Another Off Topic: I think it would be actually really cool if you could get on a ship, sail off map, then come to another area with singapore and other asian islands on a completely different map. Like when you get to the point off the map where a notice comes up saying "You've sailed to worlds end, turn back and continue your voyage", instead of that, it could say "you're sailing beyond the Caribbean, would you like to continue to the Asian Islands?" I don't know, me and my crazy ideas. I think I had too much rum today :rumgt7:.


*I am not too sure about Padres, because the name could have been changed in time. As the 4 coutries fought for more land, they constantly changed the names of the islands, and someone didn't do good book keeping back then :laughks2:.

How about Treasure Island? They could have a casino, and it would award weekly and daily prizes like a free war frigate or weapons.

Isn't Isla Muerta... Devil's Anvil? I mean yeah the name's different but inside it looks like it (kinda) with the undead monkey and Barbossa and all the gold.

Singapore would be interesting to have. And I like your idea truffleboy, I'd continue out of the caribbean to see the Asian islands.

But, I think of all the islands... Shipwreck Cove would be the easiest to add into the game, its very piratey. Maybe they could add it in to the game along with the second story chapter... are you listening to us Disney? lol
