Repairs at sea
I have just recently started trying out the SvS Privateering voyages and discovered that repairs are able to be made at sea as long as no one is at the wheel. I suggest that this option be included in the regular voyages against the Navy, EITC, and Skellie ships.
What think ye, me hearties? |
I agree.. I think they should make sailing a bit more realistic; I think you should get 2 options when going out to sea (Sailing or Traveling) Traveling would be normal sailing ..for if ye were going from island to island... but sailing could be a more realistic sailing experience.. maybe jobs for the crew like hoist the jolly roger... swab the deck simple tasks that could like repair the ship or something of that nature.. this and a captains quarters would be really cool!

Kinda makes ya wonder why they added it where it doesn't belong (SvS) and forgot to add it where it does (regular sailing.)
Don't get me started about "salvage..." |

But I think repairing should be taken out of SvS. It would keep those cowards who run away from having the highest bounty. |

Salvage....lol....you really don't need ship repairs in SVS with salvage. As previously stated, if removed it would reduce the number of Pirates sailing to Cuba to start repairing. Should it be added to regular sailing....hmmmm. Tough call....it might make it too easy, but then again could come in handy every so often. I'm undecided on this one for now. If added, I believe there would need to be limitations and a cost involved with supplies for repairing. :bookishfj7: |
The shipwrights would then lose a function, repairs would be even cheaper, and you could just repair while parking waiting for a ship to spawn. I don't think repairs should be in the game period (I was swayed by the argument saying it shouldn't be in SvS, but I don't think it should be in the regular mode of sailing either).
