Found powerful navy ship!
 

I found a level 11 navy ship last night while I was sailing from Port Royal to Tortuga, the ship was more between Devil's Anvil and Tortuga. Hopefully somebody will be able to finish their dagger quest now that a high level navy ship has been spotted.

I've seen a few level 11 out before, it's not uncommon or is it suppose to be?

Have you noticed that most vanguards don't die?

I think he is talking about the "Navy Centurion", a Frigate. It can't be destroyed yet. I've fought about 5 close to Devil's Anvil and they dont sink.

Most of them don't sink because people raid them and then leave them. You need to wait overnight, in most cases, for the ships to reset.

I found a level 12 ship, but someone raided it and didn't sink it.

Please, if you do raid a ship, make sure to sink it so it respawns.

How do you make sure you sink it?

We successfully boarded a ship yesterday, dispatched with all the crew and then were automatically taken back to our ship. Immediately upon our return the Vanguard sunk. I was just happy that we didn't dc when we got to the other ship.

If you did not know this, In order to sink a high level ship like the Centurion or Vanguard you need to board it and fight the whole crew and then it will go down.

I wish they'd make more challenging ships. Cuba would be fun.. if the boats actually attacked you.. The only thing I have a hard time with in-game is getting my sailing up, and trying to break into Fort George & such cutlassy and pistoly on-ground areas.

And yes, I did just invent 'cutlassy' and 'pistoly'.

Yeah. It's hard though. I have a high level cannon but low cutlass. I can't kill 5 guards on me at once!

oh so that's why they won't sink? there have been a few ships near port royal that have been there for 2 or 3 days lol
