What Happened to Port Royal??

I was sailing straight for Port Royal today...I could see it...then "poof" it disappeared into a pile of shale! I sailed straight throught the shale and rocks thinking maybe it was actually there but I wasn't seeing it. But nope. I turned me ship around and headed for Devil's Anvil then turned back to PR...still wasn't there. Finally on my third try the island reapppeared and I could dock me ship. Thanks goodness me ship health was in good shape! :val02:

Some of the last updates looks like the same old problems surfacing. I drove through Padres, and had to come back out and off/on the wheel to get the anchor to appear.

Also noticing big cuts, and lag anytime another ship comes in again.

One thing I noticed with the latest update is when approaching PR on my ship, I can see more of the town as I approach (buildings, etc). The wierd thing is, as I get close enough to port, the town disappears, and appears to be just rocks on the shore... go figure!

When approaching Port Royal from Cuba, the back-island is initially several times larger, than it is when you get close. I always see navy & EITC ships sailing INSIDE Port Royal island over there, even after is shrinks down to size a little. (Obviously, more are inside the island when the island is larger.)

Just like being at sea in real life, trying to sail to a harbor in inclement weather...the closer you get, the farther away it seems. I wish they had slightly smoother transitions from big-island to small-island though.

The tiny village on Black Pearl Island used to only be visible from a distance too, the way Port Royal is now. I have no idea why they chose to do it that way, but it seems very intentional. As of a couple days ago, the Black Pearl Island has been fixed (so that it is now visible up close, also) but Port Royal still is from afar, only.
