Death Omen - yay!
4 Attachment(s)
So, I had set sail in my light sloop from Rumrunner's, and what do I see?
A Death Omen, lv 41. Of course, I tried to sink it...but alas...got sunk. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. |
A valiant attempt indeed! Thanks for sharing the screen shots.

Wow, that was really close. I'm surprised you sunk, from the first three shots, it looked like you were going for a solid win.

It is way harder at low levels (like level 30 :) ) but it can be done. Go to the other side of it, out of traffic, then blast away its masts before switching to broadsides. Once it gets too close....well, you know now. Let's see your sweet revenge screenshots too, when you get it!

Another method that is very effective with sloops of all sizes is the one described here This is my favorite. Not saying its the best, just my favorite.
The method Ed describes has the advantage of allowing you to get rep for cannons and sailing. Just remember that before the enemy is able to turn to broadside you take the helm and get in front of the enemy or in back, depending on which way your ship is pointed. If you get in front use this method . If you get behind, use the method I linked to in the previous paragraph. The most important thing, of course, is avoid broadsides! Sinking even the biggest ships with the light sloop can and has been done. It may take forever ( weak broadsides) but it can be done. Good luck! And like Ed, I look forward to your revenge pics. Edit: Forgot to say I thought you had it too. An excellent effort. |
