Daggers???
 

A few of us pirates have noticed that our daggers do not appear to be working. The strange thing is that although we cannot slice and dice with the weapons, the sound of using the dagger is there and apparently it is doing it's job. You just can't see what is actually gong on. This just happened since the updates, and only female pirates have been affected to my knowledge. Another bug caused by the update? :swordpirate:

It's that way on test as well Lizzy. Several bug reports landed on deaf ears....

I think it's not working for all pirates on test, have to check out the "female pirate only" thing on open.

Yes, the dagger animations are messed up on some pirates. I have a boy and a girl pirate on Test that have acquired the daggers and only the girl pirate does not have the animation for using the weapon. The boy pirate works just fine.

Come to think of it, Sven's dagger animations work, but Adelie's do not. Just the female pirates eh? At least it's consistent.

I've not heard of any male pirates have problems with the dagger animation. That is very weird that it would only effect female pirates. I think I will try to level up Mya to get the daggers and see if she has the same issue.

Looks like I'll be spending more time on test as the Orkin Man....rather than playing on open dealing with these issues. To the Test Server!

My one on test that has the dagger is missing the animations as well. Female pirate, of course. :)

Should we call in NOW...lol?

My MALE pirate has the same problem so I don't think NOW will help. It's not just female pirates.

Edit: This happens with both my male pirates.

I have noticed that using openGL or DirectX9 my pirates do not have dagger animations but if I use DirectX8 I do but then I lose all flame graphics, nades cannons staff, as well as wither they all are just black shadows with DirectX8.

yikes! Travis that statement just sums up Disney's haphazzard approach to updates. It just boggles my mind how something so important to the gaming experience can be released just so they can add a new PR.

i have noticed thito i have two friends (girls) whoose daggers do damage but their arms don't move

Test Server wnet down for maintenance at 8PM central. When it came back up, my daggers worked.
