Black Pearl Boss Battle Video (only 14% damage)

A few days ago, I re-read Maximvs' video tutorial. About 3 days ago, did a BB with a friend while recording it. Lag was obviously horrendous due to the recording process, but the two of us pulled off a pretty nice BB - only 14% damage total. A couple days later (now) I've managed to get the whole thing posted, in two parts.
My youtube page is also EdwardEdgemenace.

I'm sure all the regulars here on POF know how to do a Boss Battle, but here is a quick summary of my method. For each part, there is a trick.

Before: Decide driver before hand, discuss plan before hand.

Cut scene: press ESC to skip.

Officers: Highest health pirate aggro all officers; heal each other on small crews.

Frigates: Left rear, left front, right rear, right front (LR, LF, RR, RF.) Zoom compass to check crew positioning.

First three bridges: Destroy right bridge then move BP, destroy left bridge, then middle last. Rotate camera view with right mouse button. Communicate with crew before continuing (even if you meticulously worked it out beforehand, as we did.)

Next pair of bridges (4 & 5): Park out of range of right bridge, destroy left bridge.

Next pair of bridges (6 & 7): Park out of range of right bridge, destroy left bridge.

Next pair of bridges (8 & 9): Race under first volley, park/wobble close enough so crew can hit. Emphasize that each of the last two bridges are much stronger than Goliath - now is the time for the strongest ammo. Right fort seems to cause more damage, so take it out first.

Goliath: Run Forrest, Run! No need to get hit by it at all, just run, then take it out from a distance. Zoom compass all the way out so you don't turn too soon.

Great video ed.
I bet boss battles with you are interesting. I've never had anything lower than fifty percent damage when doing a boss battle.

That is EXACTYLY how to do a BB. Nice Ed.

Dueces has been doing it this way since the re-release of the BB. (wow, remember when it was down for months...?)

Thanks for sharing ;)

I'm a poor BB captain, but I'm getting better with your help Ed. Thanks!

Ooo always cool getting to see the various ways people sail the Pearl =) That's the 1st time I've seen it done that way with the trick/wobble thing you mentioned. I've heard about it & tried it before but spent too much time trying to achieve such a trick & never actually been able to get that woobliness LoL so I don't even bother with it. The way I sail is a lot like how my old former Blood Red Roses guildmate Dead Aim sails the Pear, from doing so many BB's with him last summer. Thx for sharing =)

Yes Angel, infinitely easier unlimited. A crew of all 40s helps, whether 2 ot 5 on crew. Nice that he caught a 12% on video - great stuff.

If you link that video as a response to the video thread it should be allowed, if I read the policy correctly.
